AlbinoPolarBear
I have a problem. For some reason, FOSE won't launch through Steam. I renamed fose_launcher to FalloutLauncher but when I then tried to launch it through Steam it gave me an error saying: Couldn't read arguments. I tried adding fose_launcher as a non-steam shortcut, but it still gives me an error. If I launch it without Steam, it works. But I want to launch it through Steam so it will count towards my game time. Does anyone know why I'm getting this "Couldn't read arguments." error? Also, I recently formatted my computer, and I started getting this error after I formatted it. Before, I was able to launch it through Steam.
GrindedStone
FOSE launches the Fallout 3.exe only it gets patched as it's launching. That's how it works. Because of that I would say change your settings in steam so that instead of launching Fallout3.exe it uses the FoseLoader.exe instead. The name wouldn't matter, don't mess with that, change the steam fallout profile to launch FOSE, that is if you can change the .exe of a Steam installed game, which I'm not sure if I remember you can even do. Then do you even need FOSE, there's been plenty of times I did not, so I didn't use it. So it's like a choice, if you want to play it thru steam you might have to ditch the FOSE versions of mods, and the other way around. You could also contact Steam an ask them. And yes I need FOSE, cause I'm doing a play through with a bunch of mods that require FOSE (FWE, WMK, RH_Ironsights, etc.). EDIT:Nevermind, I found a way to launch FOSE through Steam. I downloaded Fake Fullscreen. It loads FOSE automatically, and all I had to do was rename it to FalloutLauncher and launch Fallout 3 through Steam.
