IfItsOnPCItsNotExclusive
I'm aware that SKSE has been updated but there are some mods that require SKSE like Add Item Menu that haven't. I ended up letting Fallout 4 update and now it sits in library uninstalled because some mods wouldn't work.
Susaphone
It should be safe to update Skyrim Special Edition. Most of the main SKSE type things have been updated. Even the Add Item Menu has been updated. Thank you.
anjenthedog
Safe? relatively. There's a list of mods that still need updates on Lover's Lab (probably others, it's just the one I stumbled across from another "Skyrim got updated" post), so if you're using one of those mods/components you may need to wait. Of course, it also includes a list of mods/components that *have been updated, so that might be of help too https://www.loverslab.com/topic/94228-sse-conversion-tracking-jun-15-3585-sexlab-updated-hdt-not-yet/?tab=comments#comment-2154459 best wishes
fraquar
My take is if the only reason mods updated was the version check number, there is no point in updating anything, the game, SKSE or the mods that leverage it. If it isn't broke, don't let Bethesda break it. :D
IfItsOnPCItsNotExclusive
Good thing I downloaded the auto backup because as soon as I updated HDT-SMP wouldn't work as it needed runtime 1.5.73. So I rolled back and am good to go.
