BCbrad
I guess I am thinking in terms of realism. I'd like it if a person had to visit the inns and be a patron. I think mods like Bathing Beauties would fit in as well. I am not entirely sure what this would look like, but I am thinking if a person permanently lost the ability to heal 1 out of every 100 health until they went to the inn and had a seat, drank some mead or Alto wine and made a request from a bard. Might add a sense of realism, maybe something like this already exists?
AnkhAscendant
You have to admit that the bards in Skyrim are pretty hard to enjoy ;) But I am all for immersion, so I think I like this idea. Using it with hunger/thirst/tiredness/hypothermia mods might actually give me a reason to go into an inn for more than long enough to hear the rumors. Personally though I think I would like to have a more realistic reason than "for no really good reason your health doesn't regenerate fully until you've been to an inn", since inns aren't known to have healing powers. I'm trying to think of one, because I do like the idea.
WinterFlower
"Forced to enjoy" XD I'm actually thinking about Imps More Complex Needs, which kind of makes you need sleep and food/drinks, hence a good reason to visit inns. Also it has some advanced setting where hot food (soup, stew) gives additional appeal if eaten in an inn near the fire. (appeal has an effect on character's morale, which gives bonuses or penalties) Maybe a standalone modification could be made, where being in an inn for a specific length of time, and/or listening to a bard's song could give a positive effect ("mirth")? For 3 ingame hours the character has a slightly increased speed/stamina regeneration? D=
BCbrad
Thanks for the comments. I'll try the complex needs and see how that goes. I think its really cool that Beth dropped Inns along the roads, but I have no reason to go in other than pick up one or two small side quests. Maybe, an idea.. if being chased by imperials, stormcloaks or a guard you can hide in there for a half a day or so.
AnkhAscendant
I did think of two reasons why you might be 'forced' to enjoy the inns and bards - stress, and cleanliness. I could see both of those reasons in a sort of ICMN addendum... have a stress bar that builds up in combat and on quests, and have listening to bards, cooking, eating, reading, and things like that reduce the stress bar, and doing any of those things in your own home or in an inn double the benefit. For cleanliness, if there's a mod that adds baths to the inns, have a hygiene bar that deteriorates, and give a morale bonus for being clean. ^^ Not that I'm capable of making either of those things happen, but they would be good reasons to make you go into inns. Urtel
I dont think that it will give immersionWhy im forced to go to the inn ? If someone likes immersion, he will go to such place anyway. Also, many immersive-players have basic needs or same kind mod installed, which forces to visit inns. For real hardcore-RP there can be a character hating crowds of ppl, or may be he hates music or such things, so... for Lore-hardcore-immersive player (as i am now) there is no point in this mod.And for those who play vanilla-style, with crushing few heads with one smash, this mod absolutely has no reason to have. So... in my opinion this mod will have no use.Its like forcing someone to smoke while riding a motorbike, for exxDDDD
