KaineM95
Right so i got a new computer a few months back and got skyrim straight away, but Ive been having lag issues since day one. the game runs pretty smoothly on low graphics settings with a few of the render distances on the shorter side of the scales but ive had enough of that now and want at least high graphics. So what im asking is can someone reccomend a graphics card that would be able to support a higher setting? im looking to spend about £100-£130, £150 max.oh and the specs on my PC as it stands are: AMD FX-4100 Quad Core Processor 3.60GHZ8.00 GB RAM1TB HDDAMD Radeon 640 graphics card so yeah any help would be much appreciated :)
Rennn
I'm pretty sure there's no such thing as an AMD Radeon 640. Do you mean an Nvidia 640, or did you forget a number of an AMD card? Edited September 5, 2012 by Rennn
KaineM95
Yeah sorry i meant AMD radeon 6450
cycloney911
Below 200 price, it would be GTX 560TI and GTX 570. I do use Dual 560M which give me around 45-60 fps. I am not sure how single 570 and 560 TI would work. Single 560 TI > 560 M, Dual 560M > almost all.
KaineM95
Thanks, but would the GTX card fit with an AMD CPU? im not great with some of this stuff
cycloney911
I believe it should. If not, no one would buy AMD products. ^.^ Although i heard that even tho it will work, it wont with some configuration. You could ask around the shop just incase. KaineM95
Ok thanks ill look into it, but u said u use dual 560, do uve got two graphics cards in at once or am i misunderstanding you?
cycloney911
Using two cards together can mean SLI in short terms. Some games support SLI, such as Skyrim, some don't and may require tweaking. SLI = Less heat and work and better frame rates, need more power tho. KaineM95
Hhm that sounds fine to me, do u think if i bought another of the cards ive got i would have enough power to run it?
cycloney911
You have to tell us your PSU i believe, i am not good in solving power problems but others here might. Also, you need the same cards to run SLI, not different!
