Widgets persist in menus

I am not sure why this occurs, but sometimes (mostly during combat) the widgets, aside from SkyHUD, persist in the cross menu, inventory, and spell list. Once this occurs it remains until i reload the game. I was able to reproduce the results using the 'Flame Rune' spell for the glitch to occur. A couple of widget mods I am using are: 'A Matter of Time - A HUD clock widget' and 'Widget Mod - Ported for SSE' Any ideas on how to fix this glitch?

I think I found out the what causes this to happen. It happens when, so far, I add something to the game world via magic (summons and runes), yet doesn't occur with spells like mage light or candle light or from the illusion tree.

 

I still would like to know why this happens though.
