ginnyfizz
Post your mod load lists. Do you have any animation mods installed? Mounted combat has never worked for me, so I wouldn't worry.
ShadowSlayer978
I unchecked all of my mods in NMM and this was still happening, so I don't think it was a mod.
cycloney911
It happens when animation files are attached manually on Skyrim folder rather than using NMM. I don't know the animation file name. :/

cycloney911
Back before Dawnguard, mods which adds or changes animations would sometimes affect mounted combat, the standing on horse is an example of this. 1: Mod is probably outdated.2: Too many animation mods that could have mingled with each other and cause animation glitches.3: Mounted horse combat files are bugged. If you downloaded the animation mods manually, it could: 1: Be removed by searching for it.2: Could not be removed because it would delete other Skyrim animations or cause problems with them. This was happening well before Dawnguard was available for PC.
cycloney911
Most modders would have fixed this problem, seems some didn't or cluster of animation mods could cause this.
