bigzigno
Do you even have SKSE64 installed? SkyUI needs it Ninja'dHardy har har, this issue didn't happen before I swapped to Vortex. There are precious few things that can do that.Make sure you are updated to the most recent game version.SKSE64 must be 2.0.16, for game version 1.5.80. How specifically did you install SKSE64?Each of your SKSE plugins must also be updated. Look in game Data/skse/plugins. Any DLLs there have to be updated.Open your game directory Data. Do you see any files there that look out of place?Open Vortex, click Purge. Now see if you can get to qasmoke. If not, use Steam to validate your game. When done, hit Deploy again.Purging my mods allows me to enter qasmoke. SKSE64 is updated (I had updated it last night). The game is updated, and my plugins are updated.
rmm200
Something in your load order is crashing Skyrim SE.Do you use SSEEdit? It is the main tool I use for checking out my load order: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/164 Let it look for things like missing Masters. Stick with Qasmoke until we find the problem. It eliminates any issues with broken saves. Now it gets hard. Sorry... Deploy. Disable half your mods. Deploy again.See if Qasmoke is accessible.Iterate until you find the mod that is crashing.Come back...
bigzigno
I found the mod that was causing crashes (Dolomite Weathers). However, none of my mods are appearing ingame, including SkyUI. qasmoke is accessible.
rmm200
Progress.Enable all your mods, disable Dolomite Weathers, Deploy and hop back to Qasmoke. Does the MCM menu show up after mods initialize? Give it a couple of minutes. What response did you get when you used the console command to initialize MCM?
bigzigno
The MCM menu doesn't appear at all, not even after leaving the game open in qasmoke for half an hour. SKSE is definitely running, as it shows that it's running in the corner of the pause menu.
rmm200
This is an old entry but still useful: https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1643368-skyrim-skyui-mcm-menu-not-showing/ Check the last line. It mention an ini file setting. Also - did you get SSEEdit working?
bigzigno
I changed the ini file to bEnableFileSelection = 1, still no results.I have not tried SSEEdit yet, will try that now
bigzigno
SSEEdit only shows the mods that are also shown in Plugins of Vortex, and there are no issues with them.
rmm200
SSEEdit only shows the mods that are also shown in Plugins of Vortex, and there are no issues with them. The question is does the game's idea of the plugins list match that of Vortex.SSEEdit sees the same list that the game sees.It also does a really good check for missing Masters, which in an ideal world Vortex would also flag. Based on other discussions we have been having - did you import your mods from NMM or start with a clean game directory?
