Lip
You know the way in Oblivion that when you equip a Bow the sword disappears? (Obviously because it is not used then) And when equipping a Sword the Bow disappears for the same reason? Well, I always thought. For realism why not make a mod that when you equip for example: When you equip a Sword, the bow stays visible on the players back EVEN THOUGH it is not needed. And equipping a bow and the sword still stays visible on the players left hip. I always wanted that for realism and feel more.....like a real prepared adventurer in Oblivion :). Can that be done?? ghastley
This is reasonable until you think it all out. If the player has a two-handed sword and a bow, which appears on the back when neither is in use? Which weapon does the "F" key (on a PC, I don't remember the other platforms' equivalents) place in your hands? Do you need multiple hot weapon keys, plus one for "none"? Where should a shield go when you're using the bow? What about any other pair of weapons the user wants to toggle, why just a bow and a sword? Axe/sword seems just as reasonable. I don't think the current setup is too bad. The weapons you're not using are hidden. The only concurrent combos are sword (or other single-handed) /shield or bow/quiver as these get used in combination, and you have only one key needed to draw/sheath your selected weapon. Lip
What I mean is that say for example: No.3 was the Hotkey for your sword. And no.2 was the hotkey for your bow. (No need for arrows as they are already visible.) The sword and bow are visible on you already. And you equip your sword, in this mod it would morso "activate" it more than actually equip it and pressing 2 would -activate- the bow to be usable. Do you know what I mean? Thats basically just it :).
Jntk
that would be cool. Kinda like Fable?
Vagrant0
Can that be done??If it could be done, it would have been done by now. It has certainly been asked often enough. Both the bow and 2 hand weapon equip to the same slot, the back slot. The closest you could get would be having some generic tail slot item which has the appearance of a bow or weapon. But even that is not a good solution since any mesh used by that item would need to be specially prepared and weighted to move with that part of the body. ihateregisteringeverywhere
fable /'fe{I}bl/ noun1 [C, U] a traditional short story that teaches a moral lesson, especially one with animals as characters; these stories considered as a group: Aesop’s Fables * a land rich in fable2 [u, C] a statement, or an account of sth, that is not true Other than that Fable is an RPG game from Lionhead studios. Even Maiq knows what it is and is poking fun at it. Anyway, the character in the game had two slots for weapons - one for the ranged weapon and one for the melee weapon. You simply equipted both and then used them by pressin Q for the ranged weapon or E for the melee weapon.
