Cthuloot
Fusozay was born in a Khajiit caravan. While in his younger years he wasn't as mischievous as some other Khajiit children, he was known to nap often and forget about his daily chores, which earned him his name, Fusozay, meaning 'without worries'. As he grew older, he grew annoyed with the name, and knowing he couldn't change it, set out to make those who called him that look foolish. As a result he was often found studying spells tomes learning helpful magics to help protect the caravan as well as often hunting to practice archery and feed the caravan. He soon mastered the school of conjuration as well as archery. This led to him conjuring two thralls. A Frost and Storm thrall to protect the caravan. Between his thralls and his skills with a bow, Fusozay soon became the sole protector of the caravan, and was often sent ahead to investigate areas to see if they were a safe place for the caravan to stop at night, as well as explore ruins to see if there was anything of value to take. The most important day in Fusozay's life however must have been the day he met an Altmer alchemist. Fainde was his name. Fusozay remembers he was looking for some chaurus eggs. Dro'Baad, the caravan leader, explained that they didn't have any. "They why don't you take your sneaky little paws, and go 'acquire' some for me?" Fainde spat. Dro'Badd and the other members of the caravan took obvious offense to this. "I know you have Moon Sugar, you probably all do! And skooma too! Get me some of these eggs or I swear I will find the guards and make you all wanted men!" Fainde continued. Fusozay overheard this and stepped in. "Not all Khajiit are thieves you know." Fusozay stepped toward the Altmer as his thralls circled behind him. "We try to make an honest living. We do not take things that people need. Our wares are bought from other merchants, and brought many miles to place where we can sell them for a profit. See this bow?" Fusozay picked up his bow and showed it to the Altmer "This is from Valenwood. It has traveled with me for many miles, as has everything else. All on foot. We have no horses or carriage. We have no homes or bed. And we don't have your stupid eggs, jekosiit!" Fusozay spat at the ground in front of the Altmer. "Well than what do you suppose I do then, house cat? Go get them myself?" Fainde snapped back with arrogance and sarcasm. Fusozay smirked and he picked up a bag and his bow. "Yes," he said "Buy some food, n'wah, there's a nest up the road. It's only a moon away." Fainde stood in astonishment as he watch Fusozay walk down the road. "He is not kidding you know," Dro'Baad said to the Altmer as he placed a couple days worth of food and a small sword out on the mat before him. "30 septims for the food. It should be enough until you get back. 70 for the sword." Fainde watched as Fusozay continued to walk. Fusozay turned around and commanded his thralls to stay with the caravan and looked at Fainde impatiently. Fainde's hand stumbled around his belt looking for his coin purse. He simply unlatched it and dropped the whole thing as he scooped up the food and the sword and chased after Fusozay. "May you both walk in warm sands!" Dro'Baad yelled after them. The trip up the road with Fainde was rather uneventful for Fusozay. It was filled with annoying chatter about the benefits of poisons and alchemy, as well as occasionally boosting about the types of magic Fainde had learned. Fusozay laughed when Fainde began to mention his expiriments with conjuration. "I've been able to summon a small fox for short periods of time. I can usually keep him around for a few hours at a time, but I eventually lose concentration for it." Fusozay laughed and explained that the attronarchs with the caravan were thralls, always under his command. Fainde was astonished by this and asked how it was even possible for somebody so young could have mastered such an art. "It is very simple. Attronarchs are deadra. Deadra demand honor and respect when summoning them. You must also remember that you are their master and to show them you are their master in an honorable and respectful way. This takes willpower. All other summoning demands concentration though. You must continuously visualize what it is you want to appear, because it is made and acts how you think." "What about necromancy?" Fainde asked curiously. "It is a dark magic. Fusozay does not like to play with corpses." "Just like you don't like to use poisons. What's wrong with you? Things die, it's a fact of life." Fainde said this with a condescending tone. Fusozay's patience with the Altmer was already wearing thin. Faster than the Altmer could watch Fusozay shot three arrows into the air. Fainde ran under a nearby tree. "Are you mad, those are going to come down and kill us!" Just a moment later three bird fell to the ground, each with and arrow in them. "Come, let us make camp. Fusozay is hungry and it's time to stop for today." "But it's not even dusk yet, we still have plenty of sunlight!" "Yes, but if we keep walking we will get there at night, while the chaurus are awake, you do not want to be caught in nest of chaurus stealing their eggs." "Fine." Fainde stomped off the road and plumped down on a rock. He grabbed a small piece of cheese and some bread from the sack he bought and began to nibble on them while watching Fusozay. "Don't you have a title? Most of you cats have weird little titles." "They are not weird, they are a custom, much like your people's custom of arrogance and ignorance." Fusozay laughed "I mean no disrespect, I'm kidding. My title is Jo or Ja. Depending on who you ask. Jo to those who know about my mastery of conjuration, and Ja to others." "What does Ja mean?" "Young or bachelor." "Why do you not introduce yourself as Jo then?" "Fusozay does not like to brag. Humility goes a long way. Besides I like my name." "What does it mean?" "Without worries. When I was a kitten I didn't do many of my chores. I spent a lot of time watching magicians and chasing rabbits. As I've grown up it's stuck with me, sort of... Ironic now, I think." "Interesting. What about... Umm... Jeekosite? Something. You said it earlier." "It is an insult, you need not know. And it's jekosiit." Fusozay began trying to start a small fire to cook over. Fainde watched as he struggled with it "Here, let me." Fainde walked over the to logs and sprayed small amounts of fire from his hands until the logs lit up. "You know, I can teach your this. I know some lightning spells too." "No thank you, Fusozay met a magician when he was 12 that tried to teach him lightning and fire spells. The lightning made my fur stand up and the fire would singe it all." "Well, what about some frost spells? Might be useful to keep your canteen cold at least." "Maybe another time." Fusozay cooked the birds over the fire. The rest of the night was uneventful and the two got to bed just as the sun touched the horizon. "Get up!" Fusozay whispered. Fainde woke up slowly and looked around. "What happening? Why are you waking me up? It's still dark!" Fusozay had this things packed and well as Fainde's. He tossed Fainde his pack and started down the road again. "Oh for the love of Mara, you can't be serious about leaving right now can you?." Fainde stood up and stumbled into his boots as he hobbled after Fusozay. "I can barely see a thing out here!" "Shhh!" Fuszay whipped around "If we leave now we will get there by the time the Chaurus are asleep." "But what if something attacks us? I can't see a thing out here!" "I can see just fine. And could hear anything sneaking up on us before you started yammering, just be quite and follow me." Fainde notice Fusozay was chewing on a small piece of fish. "Would you like some?" Fusozay offered. Fainde look at the fish in disgust. "Umm, no thanks... Let's just keep going." Fainde said as they continued along the road. By the afternoon the two had reached the cave. They both stepped inside. The walls were covered in a thick slime and skeletons of many animals big and small littered the floor. "Go on in, collect your eggs" Fusozay said with a smirk. "I'll be here with my bow in case one of them wakes up." Fainde slowly walked deeper into the cave. As he walked he summoned a small mage light. Instantly the cave was fully illuminated. Fusozay drew his bow and shot an arrow that skimmed Fainde's hand. "The light will wake them up jekosiit!" "I can't see a damn thing!" Fainde whispered back as he stumbled through the darkness. Fusozay followed Fainde into the main room of the cave and grabbed the back of his robe. "Look the eggs are over here, grab some and lets leave!" Fusozay drug Fainde in the direction of the closet egg sack and dropped him in front of it. "Damn it you... you... You house cat! This robe was expensive!" Fainde shouted. His shout woke up the whole hive. Instantly the clicking and spitting of chaurus filled the cave. Fainde froze up in panic "Wha- wh- wha-" "Get you damn eggs and let's go!" Fusozay yelled. He could see chaurus closing in and began firing arrows at them while Fainde picked through the egg sack. After a moment Fainde stood up and began to run. Fusozay followed him. As they were running Fainde tripped dropping the eggs. He quickly knelt down to grab them and as he stood back up to run fainde sank back down. Fusozay watched a chaurus bite his ankle and cilmb onto his back. Fusozay fired another arrow knocking the chaurus off him. "Get up! Let's go!" "I can't!" Fainde cried as he drug himself toward Fusozay "Save me! Get me out of here!" Fusozay hesitated for a little and started towards Fainde. He saw a flash of green before falling to his knees in pain. Fusozay cried in anguish as the face burned. "Get up you stupid cat! Get me out!" "I can't! I can't see!" Fusozay exclamied. He could hear chaurus closing in on him and he grabbed his bow and started swinging blindly as he tried to stand. As he stood, Fusozay immediately noticed he could hear birds. Fusozay continued to wing his bow until he heard a sharp snap. "You're bow is broken! Here catch!" Fainde yelled as he tossed the sword he bought at Fusozay. It hit him square in the head, knocking Fusozay to the ground. Stumbling and disoriented Fusozay crawled forward until he felt a wall. He back up to it and began to try to catch his breath and get reoriented. Fusozay heard a new sound. He could heard crackling. "What is that? I can hear fire." Fusozay said puzzled. "Fight you damn attronarch!" Fainde yelled "Save me! You're my slave and I am your master!" Fusozay could head the chaurus begin to screech in pain. Soon the scent of burnt chaurus began to fill the cave. Fusozay could hear a chaurus headed towards him. Panicked, Fusozay back towards the wall as he began to feel around for and exit. "Conjure a bow and help!" Fainde yelled. Fusozay stopped puzzled. He had never seem somebody conjure a weapon. Puzzled he thought about it. And began to focus on a bow. He could feel the air around him take shape and he held his hand out and grabbed a newly formed bow. He reached into his quiver and tried to nock an arrow but it fell to the ground. Quickly he grabbed a second. "Stupid cat, you can't use regular arrows when you summon a bow! Summon arrows for it!" Fusozay focused again and felt his quiver grow heavier. He reached back and felt a bundle of cold arrows. He grabbed on and nocked it on his bow and let the arrow go. He heard the crunch of a chaurus shell and a screech. He listened carefully and heard another one. Again he readied an arrow and let it go, hearing the same crunch and screech as before. Fusozay smiled, even blind he was an excellent archer. He paused again and tried to listen for the bird he heard before. He heard them and began to head in that direction, stumbling over rocks and slipping in the water. "Where are you going?!" Fainde yelled as Fusozay continued to stumble toward the entrance, "You can't leave me here!" he cried. Fusozay heard Fainde start a spell cold wind and frost crystals flew past him. Fusozay continued to move and began to run. The smell of flowers became stronger and Fusozay could hear the sound of birds get loader. He picked up his pace. He heard a foul demonic howl and Fainde's spell stopped. "Oh no..." Fainde said. "You're coming with me!" The cold wind and ice crystals started again Fusozay could feel ice forming around the tunnel. Fusozay heard an body hit the ground and water on the cave floor sizzle. Fusozay punched through the weaker ice crystals that were closing the tunnel up and slipped through. He heard another loud howl and an explosion, compinied by the screeches of chaurus and Fainde's cries for help. Fusozay turned around and felt the ice wall. It was solid. Fusozay tried to claw through frantically. After a few moments he helt the ice again and barely a scratch was made in it. Fusozay listened and could only hear the crackling of fire and dripping water. Fusozay returned to his caravan and explained what had happened. over time he learned to use his sense of smell and hearing to see others. After some time Fusozay became the leader of the caravan when Dro'Baad passed away. Fusozay earned the title Dro and introduced himself as Dro'Fusozay. As one of the first Caravans in Skyrim, Fusozay was able to make a large sum of money when the war began. He sent the rest of the Caravan home to Elsweyr along with his portion of the profits. He has decided to stay in Skyrim as his old bones can no longer move as they once did. He spends his time in inns and markets talking with others. He's still known as a great hunter and often revered for using a bound bow. The people of Skyrim have warmed up to this old blind cat, and are often willing to offer a few extra septims for his meat. They tell him that it's because there are no splinters or arrowheads for them to worry about, but Dro'Fusozay knows they do it for the pity of a blind man. He has been caught many times slipping the coins back into the merchants stalls late at night and is known to buy drinks for everybody in the inn on a nightly basis.
