Gorsha
I would like a mod that makes looted armor from defeated enemies unsellable. Why? If you kill your enemies, most of the time you loot them. I think it would be immersive if you can loot them but nobody want to sell the armor and weapons. Because it was;1) From a dead person .2) The armor and/or weapons is damaged. (by the fight of course)3) There is to much blood on it. So, maybe you can give it to a smith or melt it yourself.
thumbincubation
If you want the smelting method, try Arthmoor's Ars Metallica. It will allow you to smelt armor items for ingots and to raise your smithing skill in the process.

I know discipline could do a great job to melt things etc, but yeah, discipline....My guts say; what do all these people want with all those stuff that I pump in the economy. With my offer of all these things prices should decrease very fast. My opinion of course.
fraquar
I just don't pick it up and not be bothered with it. Don't need to smelt it down, I mine my own ore.I would think if anyone would buy used weapons/armors it might be the Quartermasters, as that is essentially what they do, make field repairs. The Smithy's around Skyrim are just too busy juggling the demands of the hold and also helping meet new purchase orders from both sides of the Civil War.
