Psywizard
I'm trying to get a fresh install but there are saved games hidden somewhere. Here is my procedure...1) Disable all plugins in NMM2) Delete local game content on Steam3) Navigate to (C:) Users > Name > AppData > Local > Fallout 4 folder and delete it4) Navigate to Documents > My Games > Fallout 4 and delete the folder5) Navigate to (D:) > Steam > steamapps > common > check that Fallout 4 folder is gone (it is)6) uninstall Fallout 4 in Steam I also deselected the Cloud sync. Done this 3 times now and every time I reinstall I have old saves in the new install! Where are these saves hiding? Edit: I should also mention that I did a search in Documents on my second attempt, at the end of the procedure listed above...with no results. instyne49
Your games history is stored on steam online servers. When you re-download the game, any current saves they have come back too. I dealt with their help, trying to remove the old stuff. They won't or can't do anything. Go into Steam settings and turn off automatic updates which run when steam is started. There may be several radio buttons you need to uncheck. After that close Steam. Make sure indexing is turned on, click the search box in lower left of your screen, start with the word saved, this will bring up anything on your PC with that in the file name. See if anything that comes up is Fallout related like your game saves and get rid of them. If you verify your game files it will probably download them again. You could search for Fallout, you might find a file hid away with saves that way. If you have Vortex read the help file on purging you mods before uninstalling the game, If you have NMM hit the uninstall mods button instead of disable, not doing this will cause problems when you mod again.
