STARKuk
Hi All First post on the forum and require a bit of help selecting mods. I have read up a bit about the top # recommended mods and installed some but can't quite get the look i'm after. All the females ended up looking like barbie dolls and although i have a decent system (i7 8gbram, graphics card etc.) it ended up chugging and crashing. I'm looking for some mods to give me nice, realistic environmental graphics, more people, companions and monsters in world (better interactivity and immersion). better looking people but more realistic as oppose to plastic overly made up. can you suggest a shopping list and does load order in the mod manager matter? if so can you suggest an optimal load order. hope that makes sence thanks in advance
SkjoldBjorn
- Climates of skyrim- Climates of skyrims own ENB settings made by the same person/group( personally i think that one is the best as it does not look like to pasty colored, though this is a very subjective opinion)I use the ENB full of this one with FXAA, DOV etc. It requires some good hardware to use this setting though.- I use the standard high res texture pack from bethesda, the ones that are custom made have to much sharpening that annoy me, but again this is my personal opinion, if you want higher res textures you should take a look at Skyrim HD- WATER a very nice water retexture, it's feels a lot more realistic than- Skyrim Flora Overaul improves the flora a lot- Trees LOD with shadows- Lush Grass' This is the mods i use when i play skyrim and they make skyrim look very good, i use everything but the Skyrim HD texture pack and i think skyrim looks good enough with just the others. Load order is not that important on these btw, some of them are only replacements and does not have any .esp or .esm at all, like the Trees LOD, Lush Grass and Flora Overhaul. Climates of Skyrim needs to be put higher up on the list though, they have a good install guide for that on their page. Unfortunatly i do not know of any mods that adds better looking people without making them look like barbie and ken, though i love the way the characters look after bethesdas high res texture pack. STARKuk
Thanks for the help I will try those later. On a slightly different note, I have installed several mods containing new followers and locations but when I load the game up and got to the required location the said items dont appear to be present. Any idea what i'm doing wrong? I'm using Nexus to install the mods from this site. new textures etc. do appear just not characters, entrances to new locations.
