[WIP] The Country of courteous people

*Before reading this, please understand that English isn't my first language- so it might be grammatically wrong.

 

Hello Everyone! I'm sjs950103, and I like to introduce y'all to a mod that I am currently working on.

It is the very beginning, even though the stories and things are all planned out.

 

Therefore it will take some time until it is actually released. Especially since I'm busy and I'm doing this alone.

So the title is the country of courteous people, as you can see.

 

That is the another name for the country known as Korea, and that is what they call themselves as sometimes.

So, the idea came to me when I thought 'what if we travel to Asia in Fallout world? There aren't much information, so I can make the stuff up.'

 

And this is it. so here is the story line, please enjoy.

 

The Institute of Commonwealth, located in the Pre-war New England Commonwealth has finally set their foot onto the Mojave Wasteland! With an unbelievable amount of technology they found in the ruins of U.S.S.A. (United States Space Administration) space center in former-Massachusetts very recently, the Institute has re-created the airship from before the Great War. The leader of the Airship Mobile Force (A.M.F.) of the Institute, Doctor Rumsfeld decided to try out the limit of the Airship- by flying across America. After reaching the Mojave Wasteland, after experiencing the freedom that he couldn’t taste in the Institute at New Vegas, Rumsfeld decides to do something crazy. Now, Doctor Rumsfeld is in Freeside with the airship recruiting people in the Mojave for his ultimate plan- to become the first group to step on the land of Asia after the war. From NCR, from the Freeside, and from the villages in Mojave, people have joined Rumsfeld and his A.M.F. team to go to China for the epic adventure. Now, one interesting person known as the Courier in the Mojave is about to join the team…

But the Airship wasn't great enough to go through the roar of the Pacific Ocean that became not so pacific after the war. A.M.F. have failed to reach China, but it crashed in the middle of an unknown peninsula- known as Korean peninsula before the war. Many of the team members died in the accident, including Doctor Rumsfeld himself. Now, the survivors need to work together in order to get out of this damned peninsula. Assistant Doctor Powell, who studied the pre-war Asian history. Engineer Gates, the only man who can fix the airship. Agent Abraham, who still has the many technological weapons and gadgets from the Institute. And the Courier, who happens to be the one of the survivors who needs to solve this problem. After all, the Courier is the only one who can actually fight in this survivor team.

 

But it is not going to be that easy to fix the airship and get out of this hellhole. Before the Great War, China was going crazy in order to get the resources from the United States of America. Korea peninsula, who was still divided until then was the poor victim of China. North Korea was annexed by China before the operation Anchorage, but they have failed to claim South Korea since they joined with Japan to stop China’s reign of terror. But after the Great War, none of that exist anymore. China is in rubbles, Russia is deep inside the ice, and Japan became the second Atlantis during the war. Without any direct attack, Korean Peninsula, luckily, has rebuilt the civilization after the war. But it indeed isn’t a stable one. After the war, new “dynasty” rose from the rubble, calling themselves as the New Empire of Korea or commonly known as the Empire. Empire led the peninsula after the war for hundreds of years. But the rise of Neo-Communism in Southeastern Russia has reached the peninsula, creating new side of the faction that went against the monarchy of the Empire, known as Democratic Republic of Southern Korea, or shortly known as DRSK. On the other hand, the soldiers located in the capital of Empire, Pyongyang, led the coup d’état against the Empire, kicking out the Emperor and the government to the South. After the success of the coup, they used their military to create Northern Militaristic Republic of Korea, or commonly known as the Military. These three countries fought for a long time in order to capture the pre-war capital, Seoul. But none of them could win completely in continuous alliance and betrayal between them. Now a twist comes into the story. The Courier and the A.M.F. team are willing to help anyone in order to fix the airship, by getting the technology beyond compare to the Institute’s ruined ones hidden beneath the Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul, which are also haunted by all three groups. Just like the fight of the Hoover Dam, the Courier now has the fate of the Korean peninsula in his/her hand. War has begun, and everyone is awaiting your answer. So, only one question remains.

So, I would love to hear you feedback and hopefully I will have time to work on it again!

Also, if you have a good idea then you can tell me.

 

P.S. for anyone saying that it wouldn't make sense if Korean people speak English in the mod, I thought about tweaking the Pip-Boy so it can translate Korean name for the weapons and notes and etc. into English. (Just a Setting)

For actual talking, I might make the subtitles available in English or something. still thinking about it.
