kingchddg90
Is it possible to use a non human texture for the Courier i understand that i would have to make the texture and animations + re texture all the armors that i would use but i am trying to recreate this mod for fallout 2 Fallout 2: Littlepip Mod would love a response so i know if this can be done and if there is any interest in it. I think the skeleton would be a real problem. I'm far from an experienced modder when it comes to working with rigged meshes and animations, but I think you have to have the human skeleton for the player. I mean you can put a bunch of odd meshes on there if you want. Ie you can put a eyebot and have your player appear to be a one. You can rig a teddy bear and have a childhood monstrosity plaguing the wasteland. But I just don't think there's anyway to rig a quadruped mesh to a human skeleton. I think your project would hit a roadblock at that point, much less animations. Maybe you could rig the front half of the horse to a human and leave the 2nd half just weighted to some bone, but the back half wouldn't have any animations....they'd just be dead. Plus honestly, if it's sticking that far out from the human skeleton I think when you tried to import the skeleton it'd be all messed up. I don't think you'd be able to export the nif. But if I'm wrong, and you can "play" a non human skeleton, then you can rig your pony mesh to a bighorner or something. Quetzlsacatanango has buttercup the mechanical pony rigged to a few different skeletons. Then if you just want weapons at your critters side (which makes sense, don't know how they could hold anything) you could certainly do that. I'v done it with a extra brush gun on a players back (so he/she had two). Oh and move the projectile node to the proper spot. But even in this best case scenario (ie if you can play a non human skeleton), unless you have a *lot* of experience in both nifskope and blender your just asking for a world of pain

Not a skeleton as in the undead, the skeleton that a characters meshes are rigged to.
