Loffi
When trying to save Reilly's rangers from the hotel roof, they always attack me. I've tried going back and forth between the roof and the building, but it doesn't help. And, accidentally I saved over my backup save after going on the roof once, so is there now no way to complete the quest? I'm not using any big overhaul mods (FWE or MMM ect.) or anything I think should affect the rangers.

And only one setting in a mod, so a mod you may have Might be at fault. It's possible. To bring forth a possible fix, I need to see what mods you have installed. All I do is locate bugs. That one is in fact a moders bug and not a game bug.....Unless your really Evil? post your Saved game list from the fomm saved game reader here so I can determine if any mod you have .Has that bug in it. TheStrictNein
Well A, I don't think you need UF3P with Fallout Remastered. I'm sure Kitty can tell you more otherwise.
AlfredTetzlaff
Hi,this is a old and very common bug. Before going through the last door which leads to the roof, you'll have to holster or unequip your weapons to circumvent that bug.Unfortunately, without any backup saves this Info comes to late :(A little advice regarding save games:- never ever overwrite your save games, always save to a new slot. This will prevent above mishaps and minimize the chance of save game corruption- don't use quick saves, they are also a common cause for save game corruption, use casm instead  - also turn of all auto saves, common cause of crashes during world transitionsAbove Info applies to Fallout3, Oblivion (especially that one :whistling:) and probably New Vegas too, don't know about Skyrim though (different engine). Loffi
Thanks everyone! I'll keep your advice in mind for my next playthroughs. Finally, I was able to complete the quest with a lot of tinkering around with the console. I just hope I didn't cause any further bugs in my game!BTW, I've never had ANY problems with auto- OR quicksaves! Guess I've been lucky...
