YuiSakyubasu
Hi, I'm trying to make a new mod that adds craftable banners that you can place, and I don't know how to add physics (havok) to the banners, so people can move it like any other item (it gets stuck mid-air when I drop it). I'm testing it with the imperial legion banner (you can see it in the link) and I can't even select it with commands, neither Jaxonz positioner.https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/elderscrolls/images/8/82/TESV_Banner_Legion.png/revision/latest?cb=20120311124204 Any ideas? YuiSakyubasu
The only thing that works is the crafting system.https://imgur.com/a/yJYEmkt Edited July 5, 2019 by Famicomaniaco
thumbincubation
They're generally static, and they seem to have extremely large selectable areas, but you can sometimes be too close. Best bet, with Jaxonz, is to open console, click on the banner, and then hit Enter to make it glow. If it doesn't glow, deselect and try again. As far as making them moveable, I think (but am not positive) that you would need to change some things in Nifskope, to make the mesh a movable static. Unfortunately, I believe you'd then run into problems with them not staying where placed.
YuiSakyubasu
I tried the Jaxonz and console thing, but it didn't work that well... There are other banners that can be selected (but some are hard to select), but the Imperial banner that I've shown in the imgur link is not selectable, neither console or Jaxonz. And yeah, I think I have to use at least Nifskope (I have it), but I can't find any good tutorial about making a static something movable (at least for Skyrim). thumbincubation
I don't know of one either. You might be able to open a moveable static and a regular static, side-by-side, and see what the differences are. I haven't tested this, but you might also experiment with moving a BSTriShape from the static over to the BSFadeNode0 of a moveable static, then deleting or rendering invisible the BSTriShape from the moveable. Elianora has a tutorial about mesh mashups, as well as adding a NiAlphaProperty to make invisible portions. I believe HothTrooper still has a video up about armor mesh mashups, where you will see more about the process, if Elianora's hasn't covered it all.
