Hi there!

I have a problem with UFO. There is no dialog lines with Ceri except UFO's. And there is no quest from Ceri in my journal.

What can I do?

Hey, ran into a MAJOR problem with your mod, mate.

 

I cannot uninstall Cerwiden, if I do, Skyrim crashes right before the menu screen upon load up. I'm unsure what mod is messing with it, but as long as your mod is installed, everything works.

As a companion, I like her a lot. Options are well designed, she interjects pretty well (although for some reason, interesting NPCs followers seems to spout off about the exact same time, muddling the messages). Default behavior and feedback was VERY well written, I give lots of props for the dialogue. Your healer AI is very well done. I'm using UFO and I'm getting dialog options for quests/no quests.

 

EDIT: She did toss out a line about an espresso. It's my one gripe about the dialogue; the line wasn't particularly funny, and since espresso were first made in 1884, it's a bit off-puitting. I don't mind the Michael Moorcock homage in her story. A bit "oh wow, non-Skyrim reference", but I'm all right with that.

 

My biggest problems with Ceri are:

 

Ran into a very strange bug where I'll give her a Thalmor robe, set her to "give you something nice" and she just goes naked. Rather distracting to have a naked blonde running around in the middle of a fight, let me tell you that.

 

One other matter not handled in the FAQ; if I introduce Ceri to one of my Interesting NPC followers, both of them just stand and look at each other, and then proceed to do so until I tell each individually to "wait here" and then "Follow me". Not sure why this would be a problem; I suspect something is interfering with the script (not completing/passing a value). iNPCs followers don't seem to conflict with any other mod, UFO handles them correctly, so I'm presuming the issue is Ceri.

 

I'm checking into the load order aspect now, but BOSS managed it and my changing Ceri or UFO or iNPCs doesn't seem to affect this issue.

I have only been playing Skyrim for about 6-7 weeks now. I am still in my first play-through and have reached about level 40. During this time, I have modded my Skyrim and have taken the plunge to enhance it with RealVision ENB too. I had to fine-tune my Skyrim for performance.

 

I found the Cerwiden 1.7.1 mod very early on. I have used it before and after the RealVision ENB installation. Overall she is quite a good follower. Very interesting so far. I also want to say that I have encountered a few problems too.

 

By far the most bothersome for me is Ceri losing her provided set of armor. After recruiting Ceri, I gave her a set of enhanced Elven armor. She mysteriously lost that somewhere. Then I went off and gave her a set of enchanced Witchplate. I set this as her adventuring gear. I noticed afterwards that whenever I go into the Bannered Mare in Whiterun, after about a few minutes, Ceri would lose worn armor and stand there totally naked. Upon checking her inventory her worn armor set had disappeared permanently. My only option was to reload the save.

 

The lost worn armor problem happens if I leave her, and she automatically goes into her relax mode. If I tell her to Wait for Me before she losses her worn set of armor, she would just stand there, and her worn set of armor would be okay when I ask her to Follow Me. This workaround sort of defeats the relax mode for Ceri.

 

Other than the above situation, I noticed another situation where Ceri would completely lose her worn set of armor. I was in my Honeyside house, and I told Ceri to Loot All my chest. Needless to say this stash was heavy and Ceri would re-equip (eventually) the good items. I left Honeyside, and fast travelled to Lakeview Manor. I noticed the re-equip when I arrived at Lakeview. I was distracted by an assassin attack, which I took out. Some pretty nice items on the assassins. I went into Lakeview and proceeded to remove my stash items from Ceri. Yep, Ceri lost her Witchplate set. Probably happened during the auto-re-equip during the fast travel. It was a tough choice between the reload the last save, or to continue without Ceri's Witchplate set. I went for the reload and the assassins did not attack.

 

My other gripe about Ceri is looting items from neutral containers when outdoors. For example, the barrel outside Warmaidens in Whiterun, the barrel outside Riverwood Traders. I used to put my stash there. It does say Search Barrel. After I asked Ceri to retrieve the goods with Loot All, Ceri will mark all the items retrieved as stolen. I try not to use Ceri to do this now. However I recently forgot, and got Ceri to take all items from the boss chest at the top of the Faldors Tooth.

 

I have no problems wtih looting with Zora from iNPCs.

 

Yeah I have read the FAQ. I really do not think it is the load order. I used LOOT to sort out the mod load order as recommended by RealVision ENB. I just hope the above info can help to improve Ceri.

I have over 700 saves, I asked Ceri to follow me as soon as I escaped Helgen, and her quest has never advanced!

 

Does dismissing her reset her quest?

This is one ancient thread...

 

If I recall right...go to console and type "help kcf 3" should list all global values related to the Cerwiden mod.

 

I also recall many people with quest not advancing issues...one way or the other they all traced back to mod conflict...worse, mostly related to "multi-follower" mod (likely with UFO and AFT).

 

I also recall you can "force" the quest to advance by using the "Debug" mode. Search the mod description for details.

My suspicion is you use EFF. I am also waaaaaay into the game and have consistently had follower 'oddities'. I use EFF which I am quite certain is the cause of the trouble, Anna NPC is completely unworkable and haveing one of the nastiest mod writers out there doesn't help, Ceri has received over a dozen clam chowders [her own], at least 40 thanks and we're married and still nothing. Arissa also has some oddities. Now since these mods have really nothing to do with each other and EFF has been updated, I call DINGO. In other words, EFF is buggering up the non-Vanilla type followers. Hopefully when I get around to Serena she is ok. I don't even want to think of doing an unistall of EFF this far into the game, no way that doesn't blow up on me.

Hello, I have a little problem.I installed the mod, played normally for a few days, then Ceri just up and dissapeared and she won't teleport to any location that I fast travel too, but the mod is still active and I get the Ceri is quietly learning new magic spells message mortification thingie.If you could help me, that would be great

I got Ceri following me for decades and I just don't get attacked by assassin's I think I might have got attacked and just rode of with my horse and let my followers take care of it so I didn't get the note. anything I can do to force start it or spawn the note?
