If you could somehow fix that it would be amazing. But either way, thank you very much for making this and uploading it, its exactly what I've been looking for.

Weird, the niNode for the loading gate looks like it's set up fine and I can't reproduce teh bug;

Huh, that is weird. I've tried a few more things, I've even upgraded Windows from XP to 7 since trying it originally, and the bug is still there, even on a clean install with no other mods. I noticed that the TC never mentioned this issue, but the person who did posted about it a year later. So if its not too much trouble, could you try uploading it again? Maybe to a different site or something. Thank you for looking into it and responding though.

I actually used the same mediafire link as in this thread. The original is probably on my hard drive somewhere, but it's a bit of a maze. Maybe I'll just make a new model (time permitting) and you can see if it is bugged as well. As far as a weapon it's one of the simplest. No changes to animations, just a few tweaks in blender.

Oh. That's odd, I wonder what's causing it then. That would be great man. But in the meantime, I just went into NifSkope and removed the lighting property for the loading gate altogether, so that its not even there and the bullets are exposed. At least I can stand to play it now, the white texture glitch bugged me too much. By the way, I truly appreciate you taking the time to do all this. I had been looking for a good revolver to use for a Roland Deschain character for days, for both Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Nexus didn't have much to offer, the ones that come with the Fallout 3 Dark Tower mod were the best I could find, but they don't look right at all to be honest. Besides, I only wanted a gun, not an unfinished, slightly out of place quest line. So you can imagine how glad I was to find this, its just about perfect. I can even use it in Fallout 3, just wish I could figure out how to get it to use New Vegas' revolver reload animations.

Edit: I fixed it. I messed around in NifSkope for a while and eventually noticed that the loading gate's lighting property was set to use "deschain.dds" for its first texture (along with the .357 one as the second, of course, which isn't even needed apparently, but I left it just in case). However, the actual name of that texture is "1stpersondeschain.dds", so renaming it to that fixes it. Its strange that it works for some people without having to do that. Oh well, I'm just happy I got it working right. Before today I had only looked at it a few times in NifSkope, I had no idea what I was doing at first, lol. Anyway, thanks again man, you have no idea how grateful I am that you made this and uploaded it in the first place.

How did you do that? I can't find any tutorials, but if you could explain or link me to one, that'd be great

Cool beans. The 1st person textures are usually 1024x1024, but sometimes I use them for the world/3rd person model too (which are normally 256x256), since it gives them higher def. That may have been what I did on the pistols, and forgot to change the loading gate.

Any texturing tutorial with nifskope will explain it, you should be able to find a Sload of them via google (nifskope texture path). I'll fix teh nif and put up a link for you, when the festivities die down (Sun evening/night).

Not to necro an old thread, but...was this ever done?

I really like this mod, but am having the same issue with the texture. I've downloaded NifTools, but I have no idea what I'm doing. Any help would be awesome.

Sorry havn't been modding for a while, hope to get back into it soon, but I can't say for sure when. But it's a really easy change, so if I get a chance I'll take a peek at it

OK here is the fixed ver. Not tested in game, but it was a pretty simple error and should be fine. Let me know if we're good and I'll edit the link to the new file. Same story unrar into your data folder overwriting the original files (Deschain.esp & Deschain.bsa). You shouldn't have to make a clean save or do anything else.

Post-Post Edit: Unless, of course, I'm an idiot, and that's how it's supposed to look, being the loading chamber and all. In that case, thanks. :laugh:

Seems a bit better, the messed up bit by the loading chamber is less...flashy. Alas, it still seems off-colored. Here's what I mean;
