Cannot load any savegame anymore

Hi,

 

for some reason I cannot load any of my savegames anymore - doesn't matter if the save game position was indoors or outdoors, if it was a quicksave, autosave or regular save. I get a CTD immediately after hitting the load button or a few seconds into the loading screen. I can still start a new game though.

 

Now the strange thing is that I didn't change anything since last time I played when all was still working fine. The only thing I changed was that I started using the 4GB enabler (nvse loader) last time I played which did solve many of my previous crash problems - but now I cannot load a single save game anymore. Could the savegame corruption be due to that?

 

I tried searching the forums for a while but didn't find anything that seemed to relate to my problem, so any help would be appreciated.

Ok, I narrowed it down a bit...

 

Actually I can load all older savegames up until a certain date. The last savegame I can load dates back to mid August, but right until last week I could load any of the subsequent ones without any problems at all - until they _all_ stopped working today. After some research on google I found that certain missions (Come fly with me) or saving in Vault 3 might cause save game corruption, but neither applies to my game. I did finish `Come fly with me´ way earlier, so it doesn't seem to be related to that.

 

At any rate I'm just puzzled that without changing anything (at least not consciously) suddenly 9 regular savegames and both autosave and quicksaves are corrupted and result in a CTD.

 

The only thing I did change (see above post) was using the 4GB enabler... but if that was causing the problems, why do the older savegames still load fine, even today? Same goes for the load order, if that was screwed why can I load older savegames?

 

The only thing I did once was play around with the .ini files to change uGridsToLoad. I think I reverted all changes later on and after that the game was still running fine, I could save, load and everything.

 

Any ideas or help would be highly appreciated.. I don't really care about the game progress I might lose, I just don't want to just carry on playing from my older savegame and then potentially run into the same problem again.
