Fetch boy

There are very few modders with any significant experience building and integrating new animations (though there are a couple). However, I could see this working with arrows and crossbow bolts. Wouldn't exactly be "fetch", but it would be fairly easy to make a dialogue command that triggers an "Acquire" package, followed by a "Travel" package bringing the dog back to the player, and then using a short script (perhaps even a dialogue script fragment) to transfer the arrows/bolts back to the player.

I haven't bought Dawnguard yet, so I can't build it for you, but maybe there's someone out there who can make this happen. I have to admit that it would be kind of fun, and what's more, it would be a pretty useful mechanic for ranged fighters.

Oh I didnt even think of that, mark a target for the dog with a bolt or something... That'd be cool, but I think i've seen a mod that adds throwing weapons, I'll try to see if I can find it and if they have throwing animations.

Edit: So I googled it and found this-

When throwing they just use the default attack animation, and it looks pretty decent.
