Mod Organizer 2: Automatic Archive Invalidation - not working

What the title says. Despite having ticked Automatic Archive Invalidation, certain textures are failing to load in properly. As a result, my gun looks a little wonky, my Pip-Boy mod is failing to work (I just see the vanilla Pip-Boy), and there are a couple of conspicious big red exclamation marks floating around.

What do?

...okay.

The textures seem to randomly work now. The Pip-Boy thing was due to the new textures and meshes being overwritten by a different mod. And the big exclamation marks seem to be related to weapon and clothing mods which I have attempted to merge into single .esp files.

Please see the 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article.

The texture files are embedded links in the mesh files. You may need to see the wiki article "How to fix hard-coded texture paths in NIF files" for the procedure to locate the texture file entry within NifSkope. (The path needs to be "relative" instead of "absolute"/"hard-coded" in order to be found on various installation locations, which is what that article covers.) Some mods place them in folders named specifically for the mod, which might not get retained when you merge them. Not all plugins can be merged.
