anjenthedog
So....from what I've read in net searches while debugging my own game when it happens, I'm not the only one who has run into being t-posed by some errant script or some hiccup in the virtual machine. Now, by t-pose I don't literally mean just t-pose where it's like someone impaled you, but also when the mouse controls get killed, or the zoom fails (edit: or you lose the ability to access magic or no longer can "pick" things)... I've found that there are a variety of methods for undoing it, or undoing parts of the problem, depending on how severe the issue is. 1) If you have Amorous adventures (or another mod that allows it) installed AND you have a lover or near-lover, you can kiss them. This often resets whatever variable or register (or whatever elements that are broken). Not always though. Most of the time it works, IFF I have someone I can "kiss" (ie, whatever the script is for kissing that amorous adventures provides) 2) Mounting/dismounting one's horse... That is, if you have a horse, and they're close enough that you can choose to mount and then dismount them. Sometimes that'll fix the issue, although...not always. 3) Swim. Sometimes that'll reset things - although far less often than either 1 or 2 4) This one is new to me, but Use a forge. That actually got me out of my last partial t-pose (no mouswheel zoom) 5) find a save that doesn't have the problem 6) ***possibly some other actions, like using the other smithing tools, the loom at one of the hearthfire homes, etc, although I haven't actually checked if they will, since I'm usually too far away from those resources when the proverbial sh hits the fan. So.... What I envision is a mod that can be fired from either console or via the normal MCM (if you still have that much game control ...not always the case) that would reset whatever it is that gets broken. (movement, camera, pick, etc) Because all of us who've experienced these t-pose and partial t-pose gimps know they are game crippling and often major time wasters, and clearly, something (although I'm not exactly sure what) in the scripts for using a forge, mounting and dismounting a horse, kissing a follower or other NPC with the appropriate relationshiprank, etc are capable of fixing the issues to one degree or another. Having to lose up to several levels by loading an earlier save ...yes, it'll fix it without question - that is, until you encounter it again - but often at the frustrating cost of several hours of game play. And to be clear, I've tried resetai and other theoretically applicable console commands to restore control to no avail, so it's not as if I haven't tried. Idk... what do you think?
