Movement speed on game load

Maybe a dumb question (probably), and forgive me if it is... but I've noticed that no matter if I have my walking speed set to "walk or "run" when I save a game and exit for the evening, when I load the game up the next time I play, my character is immediately set to "run" status.

 

Anyone happen to know how I can prevent that behavior, ie so I default to "walk on load" rather than "run on load"?

 

 

Or at least use the previous setting when I saved?
