[email protected]
I understand Wrye Bash largely wins the mod utility contest, but I have a slightly more particular question. TESAME, was marvelous in it's elegance. Simply it listed the FormID and GlobalID entries in a file - ESP, ESM, or ESS (save game) and you had the option of simply deleting it. Not only was it crucial for cleaning mods but the principle could applied to saves as well. I rescued many corrupted saves by isolating likely suspects and dependencies, and merely deleting them. It caused it's own problem but brought it to a playable state. I was wondering if there was a save editor of some kind compatible with Oblivion, that functioned similarly? Thanks. I was (very recently) wondering the self same thing. All I could find of use was listed here: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/Mod_Cleaning_Tutorial If this doesn't help at least you'll stay interested
Ethre
TES Gecko might interest you.
[email protected]
I have done some degree of follow up research, and basically uncovered that the ESS format is completely different in TES4 than in TES3, and basically, the kind of thing I had in mind isn't quite possible yet, because so little of the new ESS format has been decoded. Gecko looks pretty promising though for a broad degree of other uses. I think I'll be downloading it. :P
