Thought this mod existed, can't find it now

Is there a mod that removes (or reduces) the chance of automatic death. I've got a lot of mods going that add to the difficulty of combat - skyre being one, locational damage being another - and find that with the vanilla "hey you randomly died and had no control over the situation whatsoever, because we decided to show an animation, even though you were at or above 75% health" thing, it's just too much. I thought I had seen a mod long ago (pretty close to the release of Skyrim) that removed this "hey you're dead" feature or made it so that it wouldn't occur unless you were around 25% health or lower. I can't seem to find it now. Anyone know if this mod still exists? Or know of one that does something similar? Thanks!

If memory serves, you still can't get a kill cam unless the attack would actually kill you. I ran into this problem a lot on my first play through on master difficulty, and then again when I started using PISE. While I won't tell you what to do, I will say that personally I recommend that you should do some of the following things.

If you're a mage, get on alteration. Believe it or not those Flesh spells have been the difference between life or death. It's also worth noting that summons, particularly attronarchs, seem to draw attention away from you with MUCH success. I usually summon these guys IN battle so they all switch targets to my summon, giving me a moment to chug potions, rebuff and get some magicka back.

Warriors should keep your armor as best as you can afford always. Don't be shy about bringing a companion with you, or even a dog. Also, know when to leg it. If you've got 3 guys in melee range of you and a few archers raining death your way, it's probably time to leg it. Despite what I've been told, I find it best to ignore archers until melee threats are dealt with. Especially with mods like PISE and ASIS, they WILL run out of arrows, so they'll be forced to eventually run to you. Some good positioning and choke points in dungeons can make the fight on your terms and also have some bandits shooting their friends by mistake.

Archers should invest in stamina. Not solely, but know you want more stamina than health. It gives you more zoom time (And more slow motion if you take these perks) and you regenerate more stamina per second at higher stamina levels (Note that it'll still be 20% or whatever, but 20% of 250 is more than 20% of 150). You'll appreciate this when you find yourself swarmed and need to book it.

Theives should also know when to leg it, and usually it's time to run the second you're noticed. Just run and the second you think you're out of their line of sight, chug a invisibility potion and sneak away. Wait for things to calm down before you come back in. You can also sometimes (With some skill and luck) get some nice sneak attacks as they turn corners to investigate.

AKM - Advanced KillMoves by Grasmann

Enable Kill Moves Only For Player by Eldiran

More Killmoves for all Weapon types - 1HN 2HN DW by sulezraz

The Dance of Death - A Killmove Mod by DaedalusAI

These mods all contain the option of disabling Kill Cameras against the player.

Thanks for the links, but, if possible, I don't want to disable them completely, only keep them from happening when I've still got nearly full heath. If I remember correctly, there was a mod early on that did just that. I just can't find it now.

if this is true, then I've nothing to worry about. But I'm getting one hit killed with nearly full health via animation. That doesn't seem quite right. And it's happening quite often. I don't really want to disable kill cams for myself completely (because if you're going to be able to do it to NPC's, they should be able to do it to you), but if I remember correctly, there was a mod that would keep it from happening unless you were around 25% health or lower (in fact, I think the exact percentage may have been configurable). But...alas, I can't find it. I surely don't want to disable them completely, but if I have no other option, I may resort to that.

It is true. On Master difficulty you only do half damage while taking double. Add this factor to any difficulty mods, ones for instance that give them higher weapon skills than vanilla does and gives them upgraded weapons or higher tier ones than you can craft, and suddenly you're taking a lot of one shot kills. I think however they can only get kill cams on power attacks, which ALSO do extra damage.

If you're getting kill moved all the time it's because the attacks would kill you.

Well then apparently, nearly every single attack would kill me. Because it's happening, I'd say...every third or fourth swing, on average, from any enemy. Then again, I am using Skyre with all the modules. I would be using ASIS, but for some reason JAR files won't run on my computer, even though I've got Java 7 installed and fully updated and both 64 and 32 bit versions running (as some have said). Even going in "open program with" and selecting java.exe, javaw.exe, javaws.exe to run the JAR, none of them work. Which is why I can't use ASIS or Automatic Varients and a few other mods that I'd really like to use, but that's a whole different problem entirely.

Okay, well I do love a good challenge, but I don't love a broken game. If it's supposed to be like that, I'll just enjoy it, and find ways to deal with it. I just thought maybe something had gone wrong with mine, and it was getting a bit frustrating. Thanks for the advice, man. :)
