hello4795
Hello Modding community, noob modder here. I'm having an issue with the Creation Kit itself, and suspect it may be a bug with the program. After searching the better part of the entire internet, I couldn't find anybody else with a similar issue, so I'm trying to post it here. I'm trying to create mods for clothing and armours, under Items\Object Mod, and in the Object Mod window under Recipes, the Editor ID box won't respond to almost everything. Nothing new can be added, and right click won't work. If I open an existing Object Mod that has a recipe, I can double click it to open the recipe itself, but that only allows me to alter the existing recipe, not replace it entirely. Every other box can be interacted with properly, it's just the recipe box that causes this issue here. In my attempts to find a solution, I had also discovered the same issue with Items\Outfits, where opening up that window will give me a EditorID box that also can't be interacted with. Is this an issue with the current version, or am I being singled out here? And is there a known fix? Edit: Right, forgot to mention, I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but that didn't work. hereami
Usually, when you change EditorID for an existing form, CK offers to create a new form.Or duplicate an existing recipe and change to whatever is needed.Or use XEdit - can do anything anytime, and the way you want. hereami
Wait.. That's just interface whims. To create a recipe for OMOD - use context menu (RMB, Create Recipe) in Object Window list.To add items to Outfit - drag'n'drop Armor into.
hello4795
Wait.. That's just interface whims. To create a recipe for OMOD - use context menu (RMB, Create Recipe) in Object Window list.To add items to Outfit - drag'n'drop Armor into. So it's not a bug, I'm just doing it wrong. I didn't know there was any drag and drop in Creation Kit. Thanks for that. But it still isn't working for Recipe's under the Object Mod window. When I right click an item in the Object Window under Items\Object Mod, then click 'Create Recipe', it doesn't seem to do anything. Nor is dragging and dropping an option in that window like it is for the outfits section. Any direction on how to add a recipe to an Object Mod? DiodeLadder
Hello there, You don't add recipes in the OMOD window itself, but instead you have to assign the OMOD from the constructible object window. Once you do that, the recipe will show up in the OMOD window. Go to Items/Constructible Object section -> right click -> new. On the right hand side of co- window, you'll find the constructed object - this is where you assign the OMOD (or anything that you want to construct). Edit : just checked the editor behavior on my side, and right clicking on OMOD in object window to create recipe does nothing here, either - it probably wasn't implemented. It's weird that you can't just input it from the Object Mod window, but that's fine. So long as it's actually doable. Thanks for the help team. Also a miscmod can be created the same way and assigned to an OMOD automatically. My ck is 1.10.15, doubt it was cut in later version.PS. Also works for multiple selection.
