DatlogiCs
I have a serious problem with mods that happen every single time. And by every single time, I mean EVERY single time. When I try to download mods, they never work. NEVER. They are always corrupted. An example would be the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. I've tried to download both the exe and the OMOD version, but both are corrupted. But, when the file aren't corrupted, there aren't any files at all. Just an empty zip/rar/folder. I'm so sick and tired of this crap, does anyone have any solution to this or an explanation to why this happen?
DatlogiCs
I forgot to tell, when I got the Better Cities mod, it wasn't corrupted or empty, but then it didn't work at all.
dubiousintent
Sounds like you are getting timed out or interrupted when you download. Use a download manager that can resume when interrupted (where the server supports it which Nexus does), like 'Free Download Manager'. It is also possible where you are saving your downloads is a problem. With any version of Windows, but most especially with Vista or 7, save to some folder that is not under the 'Program Files' folder tree. Suggest creating something like a 'C:\Downloads' folder and make that the default location for your web browser and download manager. If neither of those suggestions helps, then we need more details: which OS, what type of internet connection (dialup, DSL, cable, satellite), does the downloaded file size match that given on the download page, specific filename examples, what archive program are you using to try to unpack them with, is it only with this site, etc. -Dubious-
mhahn123
I would have to agree with Dubious' comment regarding download interruption. every time I've ever had a file issue, that was the cause.
