redeyesandlonghair
So, I finally found an enb I like ( LBOE, if there's one like that but better lemme know lol ) and it made the game all pretty like. Now I'm looking at these textures and wondering if the next step should be an HD textures pack. My NPCs allready have high quality textures, but most non-mod monsters and the landscape do not. So, first off, should I? Is it even reasonable with my hardware that I do so? Here are my specs: OS: Windows 7 x64CPU: Intel Core i7 3720QM @ 2.60 GHzRAM: 8GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 798 MHzGPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M While playing the game as it is now, my GPU Load is ussually 99%. My Vram used is around 330MB, leaving 600+ MB freeMy processors don't really seem to be working all that hard. According to FRAPs I'm sitting around 30FPS... though sometimes I wonder if Fraps is understating my FPS because my gameplay is buttery smooth. I occasionally have stutters, which I think happens when I enter a region with a larger than normal amount of spawns, but they are infrequent and end quickly. So, if the answer to question one is "Yes, you could use a HD texture pack", then the next question is which one do I use? I know that beth came out with their own hd texture pack, but when I look at pictures of it being compared to vanilla textures I'm not sure I really see a difference. Then there are those 4000 size texture packs, or whatever the actual number is. So I'm wondering what's the highest I can reasonably go. Third question! What should I look out for when installing an HD texture pack? Will my current textures be overridden? I have some skimpy armor things installed, though they seem to only modify meshes; all the other armors I have downloaded use their own textures. If I'm downloading the texture pack with NMM is it basically just as simple as installing it, seeing how the framerate is, and if it's too bad then just hitting the uninstall button? All responses appreciated.
