To get a good axe, start wandering directly South from Balmora's silt strider port. You should come across a cave. Enter the cave and then exit it -- you don't need to go any farther than the entrance to get the axe -- and then go to the Hlaalu Council Hall back in Balmora. Find someone willing to discuss your findings, and then head on out to Vivec. Search the plaza level of both residential cantons (St. Delyn and St. Olms) for a haunted manor; enter the seemingly abandoned abode and search around -- you should soon come to a Hlaalu councilor. Tell the councilor your findings and choose "Axe" from the choices that come up.

As for the cloaks, they can only be achieved via a modification. Do a search.

Hmm, a good axe... maybe Cloudcleaver? You can find that one really early in the game, but I can't remember where.

You can't find capes in original Morrowind, you need to download somekind of plugin! So search for one of those! ^_^

Good luck!

Miroshi :shifty:

I play it on Xbox too... so you're not alone on this one... I know where you can find an axe right off at the beginning... when you are in Seyda Neen, go back behind the town (close to water i guess) and you should follow a bridge that leads to a house or something, not really sure... but inside of a tree trunk there is an enchanted axe... lol... i know that wont help... but just look for some tree trunks

IIRC one of the Daedra worshippers in the shrine of Maelkashishi (leave Khuul to the east as far as the mountains and then follow the path south east along the base of the mountains) has a glass battle axe. Maelkashishi has several of the game's daedric arrows, too.

BTW it helps to have a good 'detect enchantment' spell when searching ruins (and Seyda Need outside). You need to make it, the one you can buy is too weak.
