Custom Armor Not Rendering on Beast Races?

I have this custom armor that only renders on non-beast races (Nords, Redguards, Orcs, Altmer, Dunmer, Bosmer, Imperials, Bretons, Orcs) -- basically the armor doesn't render on Khajiits or Argonians.

I've done some sleuthing and had found out that the ArmorAddon having the wrong races assigned to it can be a cause of this.

I opened the armor in the Creation Kit and lo and behold, the relevant ArmorAddon did not have Khajiits or Argonians under the races.

So, I added Khajiits and Argonians to the ArmorAddon and thought it was fixed, however, in-game the armor still does not render.

 

I double checked in the Creation Kit itself and the ArmorAddon still had Khajiits and Argonians assigned to it. I even made an Actor and gave it an outfit with the relevant armor, and it rendered in the Creation Kit.

 

I'm out of ideas, help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance to anyone who replies.

If the armor you are testing in game was already in your inventory when you made the changes to the ArmorAddon then sometimes the changes don't take effect until you re-acquire the armor. Simple way to test it is to drop the armor from inventory and then pick it up off the ground.

 

If that doesn't work then sorry to say I can't think of anything else.
