It can be agreed by most that enchanting is at the moment so incredibly overpowered that it allows for games even on master difficulty to become complete jokes as early as level 15. Because of the way skill modifying enchantments currently stack, it is possible to achieve 100% reduced casting cost for a field of spells, incredibly overpowered weapons, super high armor ratings, and so on.

 

Skill modifying enchantments on items, fortify destruction e.g., stack additively (three 25% reduced destruction casting cost enchants = 75% reduced destruction spell casting cost).

 

By buffing the original skill modification and making skill modifying enchantments stack multiplicatively, we can balance the metagame of skyrim. (three 30% reduced destruction casting spell cost = 1 - (.7 x .7 x .7) = ~65% reduced casting cost.)

 

This will pressure mages & warriors to continue to stack specific skill sets, but will not make them become IMBA from doing so. Also, this means that with this mod, there will be no more mages that can spam master-level spells at level 10 on a whim :wacko:

On a more serious note, the nerf will force users of the mod to use a more difficult, conservatory play style. This mod will make level 50+ fights just as exciting as the fight against your first draugr deathlord ;)

 

 

If someone were to make this mod, could you also PLEASE reduce the value of enchanted weapons? kthxbai
