benjaboob
Hey. Ive recently done the stupidly annoying FCOM convergance set-up, done the who wyre bash thing and got everything working fine. except now I have one problem. There seem to be some mising meshes, because when im walking along sometimes I might see a imperial road warden or something like that and thier chest armour is invisible. making them look like a floating head with legs far below. Now when i kill this NPC and look at the inventory the armour icon shows up there fine but When i try to equip it It turns me partly invisible. I've tried typing FraNewItems.bsa under the archive section in the oblivion.ini file (thats all i typed in I dont know if I have to type in anything else to make it work) so I dont know what else I can do really. any ideas? Check out my "FCOM Install Guide" and make sure you've installed ALL of the FCOM core mods files. Most likely you are missing the optional Fran meshes/Textures. Good luck & Happy Modding.

thomasv333
Does anyone else ever reply, because you give everyone the same answer. I dont want to download your guide. I want help ON THIS FORUM fgsfds Hmmm, lets see....you have a problem with an FCOM install which my guide is SPECIFICALLY written to prevent and you refuse to look at it..... WOW....that's a new one The reason I reply with (check out my "Install Guide") frequently is because I have already answered the question in my guide, and I'm not going to retype every section pertaining to there question over and over and over for people that are to lazy to download a file and read. In most cases the guide I wrote can usually help those people out with additional information about how to solve there specific problem which usually relates to mod installation. The "FCOM Install Guide" I wrote has a plethora of info in it that is a useful additional resource of knowledge for many different mod installation situations. lt has taken months and hundreds of hours of work to research, compile, and write the guide, which is still a work in progress; and it is specifically written for people with a low level of modding experience. Frankly, I don't have the time to give the same long detailed personalized reply to every single question that is posted for help about install issues that have already been answered; when myself and MANY others have already answered these questions over and over and have written help guides, have pinned forum topics, and even designed whole web pages to answer these questions especially here at TESNexus. If you had used my FCOM install guide as written you would have most likely had ZERO problems with your FCOM install. But if you don't want to put in that little tiny bit of effort to use a free resource that was developed to help people with problems like yourself, them ohhh well, your loss. In the future if you have a problem a detailed description of the issue is VERY helpfull, also attach your load order, and add screen shots of your problem if possible. This will help others help you alot better. Specifically pertaining to your FCOM install there should be no reason to edit your oblivion.ini, I have never heard of having to do what you describe in you initial post if your Archive invalidation is set in OBMM as BSA redirection. I have been running FCOM for ~6 months and have never had to mess with my Fran.bsa file as is mentioned in FiveFries FCOM install guide. Also make sure you are running Wyre Bash (it is REQUIRED to run FCOM) and that you have a bashed patch properly setup and running last in your load order. Also use FCOMhelper to set you load order and make sure you have the most recent version of OBSE. (Ohh yea...all this is explained in my guide) Also try the mod "TES4View" it may help you identify exactly what the missing meshes/textures are and what mod they belong to. Good luck solving your problem. P.S. Ohhh yea....you ARE....getting help ON THIS FORUM.

This is my typical mod adding/removing routine. Add mods with OBMMClose OBMMRun FCOMhelperOpen OBMM & readjust load order, set bashed patch lastClose OBMMOpem Wyre BashRebuild bashed patch, be sure to deactivate the green colored mods after the bashed patch is made (click check box next to mod it will turn into a + sign.)Close Wyre BashOpen OBMM and launch Ovlivion from within OBMM My guess is that one or more of your core FCOM files got misinstalled somehow or your bashed patch doesn't have all the files it needs. The esp file called "FCOM_DiverseGuardUnity.esp" affects the guards by changing their uniforms across the whole land of Cyrodiil. Make sure you are using the FCOM file not the MMM version of the file. (this could be your issue) Also make sure you are following the comments FCOMhelper puts out and are adding the bashed "Tags" it provides to your file descriptions in Wyre Bash. Well thats all I got for now, good luck.
