sinnerman69
Game wont launch You might have to add the games exe to the Nvidia video control panel, right click on your desktop a long rectangle context menu should appear , see picture below , on the long rectangle context menu left mouse click on Nvidia control panel and look for the tab called program settings, there should be a add button click it and browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\deus ex - human revolution\dxhr click onto the dxhr and add it, you might also need to use "use global setting[integrated graphic] " located on the same tab below where you added the games exe see 2nd pic below I keep a desktop shortcut of the games exe on my desktop to launch the game dxhr - Shortcut and you might have to use Alt-enter to get the game in full screen from it's corner location, I only had to do it once only and after it launched fully on it's own!.. http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z383/Craigsters/menu.jpg http://i1187.photobucket.com/albums/z383/Craigsters/programsettings.jpg Audio stuttering during tutorial or cut scenes Stuttering sound during tutorial turn off SSAO launch the game and go to options and video and advance tab to turn off SSAO All this I learned at a a steam forum thread called Deus Ex Human Revolution Won't Launch!! see post #33 by yangmungi on page 3 It took me five hours last night to get the game to launch, I followed the advice in every post and post #33 was the one that helped in the link above the game requires directx 9.oc and you may have to browse install it to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\deus ex - human revolution folder, I had directX 11 and it wouldn't work with the game in tell I removed it and went with directx 9.0c Edited September 14, 2012 by sinnerman69
