jaysus
lol why should it be a flugmittel? its flugzeug! as i said a mittel is somin to achieve somin mostly a poison, drug or medicine sometimes also used in ways like "mit allen mitteln" "with all possible means" but still derives from the use of all possible drugs for an illness but is used today for anything mainly warfare... and that anglication is really a problem if you ask me... either speak english or german... not a mix... ever heard singlish? thats fricking pervert... imo if all the people of the earth one day wanna live in harmony they need a common language of course but we will never find one if every region on the planet mods the language to its liking and sometimes to an unrecognizable point like in singlish sometimes for example... well if it stays recognizable ok but we all know how that ends... just listen to a dutch or swedish guy lol... thats hillarious :) (in a nice way though - i like you guys) but at least im not french... you prolly get shot on sight there if you use another language :P and well if you watch a german channel plz spare yourself of rtl2 lol thats like a i dunno crap maybe?... ya crap in colour :Phow did you come to watch that anyway? vacation? ah and since were at it... ei der zeit and its hosted growlfs clothing mod, even the english version, contain german words :P best defense becomes beste verteidigung for example lol
philosopher101
I'm sorry if i mislead you, but the word Einseserikreigstumpfwafferschmede doen't actually appear, in the game, I made it up to put emphasis, on the crazy German situation. However, sometimes, words do not fit into the original spaces provided, so Geschicklekeit, instead of Agility, is my favorite, or alles nehmen for, take all. In any case, too often has dialouge been cut short, becuase the german sentances, can't fit into the time originally ment for the english version. However, german is also kinda of fun, escepically since the translator, included vulgarity, and battle cries that suond like Arnold Schwarzenager. But nonetheless, i sometimes wish that, Kaiserlicher, rothwarden, and Schwertkampf, can go back to Imperial, redguard, and blade. Really, please. Oh and who spells ork, with a k. come on, please there should be a copyright or something, ORC, i say ORC.
jaysus
lol as to orc... well your english word is quite controverse... as it was used in the same book (from which it derived) for orca the whale and orcus the underworld nasty dude super badass giant... anyway the german word ork (which is older btw) always described a cave dwelling daemon (good and bad... a nature freak or tree hugger)the christians as usually started making em the bad guys to badmouth the "infidels" so to speak...oh just read that: ork is also used in the bowulf saga... comes from gotland and the oldest written example of that saga is in old english in which the letter K is used harrr... hehe (ork is used for that monster beowulf kills btw) but back on german... we at least do not stupidly change names of places and stuff just cause we cant speak right :P i just say munich or cologne... or even worse allemagne... but why do you guys play censored and bloodless german versions anyway? the splendid english used in tes games is quite good to learn it too imo... ihateregisteringeverywhere
Why shouldn't I watch rtl2? I used to watch it as a kid because it had (has) anime 2pm - 5 pm. And the evening news used to rule as well. It's not like if I didn't speak german. Durrr :P.

humanbean234
I speak a modicum of Dinglish (that odd, Deutsche/English patois that American G.I.'s learn), and I agree than many of the Deutsche composite words are tricky. My personal favorite? Truppenubungplatz (umlaut missing... means "Troop-training-place"). It'd be nice if I spoke another language well-enough to translate mods, but sadly, that's not the case.
