jaysus Posted October 15, 2008 Share Posted October 15, 2008 first open the archive with the extractprogram of your choice... 7zip and winrar are most common... winzip needs lil tweaking to work right then extract whatever you find in there to your oblivion/data directory (if you find a data/directory in the archive you need to extract it to the oblivion folder... basicly the folders in the archive should match those in your oblivion folder: if there is a mesh folder copy it into the data folder so it can overwrite the exsisting mesh folder etc) after that start the oblivion launcher select "data files" and then checkmark the name of the mod you want to use reading the readmes supplied with most mods also helps as some need 3rd party programs like obse to work properly and youll find the steps to get the mod working in there good luck and have fun Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tyreil829 Posted October 15, 2008 Share Posted October 15, 2008 hi there don't worry i just reported your topic for being in the wrong place someone can help you if it is in the right place i can try and explain where to place mods all downloaded mods can go into your oblivion data folder if you installed it in the C Drive it should be C:/ProgermFiles/Bethesda Softworks/Data from any mods you unpack will go into the right places some mods require you to manual place the files in the right places it should be easy to follow i am sure someone can explain this better then i but i did try any questions just post on your topic good luck EDIT: it seems Jaysus beat me to it hehe Commander Shepard Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I HIGHLY recommend installing ALL mods with OBMM, (see guide) Good Luck I also highly recommend it, and highly second what thomasv333 said...especially if perchance like me, you might have Oblivion installed on another drive thats not the default C: drive...I have a gaming HD D: ...and its then really important to use OBMM...if not then check folders well..
