tomanytomorrows
When I click on play FO 4 the intro screen loads and then you click play, problem is mine fails when you click play. (I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7, bad mistake.) I ask MS and they do not know what the problem is nor does Bethesda. Guest deleted34304850
have steam validate your files and let it replace anything that is missing.if you have mods installed, there's a chance that something isn't installed correctly. you may need to remove your mods via whatever mod manager you use, then empty/delete your data folder so that you are returned to a vanilla set up. once there, try to start the game again, to make sure it works before you redo whatever mods you want to play with. Done that and no joy. Thank you for responding.
Guest deleted34304850
so by doing that, you are back to vanilla. are you saying that even with all mods removed and validated local files, the game will not start? if that is the case, then the only option remaining to you at that point is to completely remove the game from your system. i'd recommend you use something like revo uninstaller - make sure all traces of the game are gone, then do a complete re-install, and see if you can get the game to work. as you have just gone from win7 to win10 - it might be that your win10 install may not be right. are you having issues with other software? i'd suggest you look to ensure you are fully patched, including drivers for your gpu, your bios and anything/everything else.
