Risca
When your walking from Gnisis to Ald Velothi. There is a girl thief who says she lost her ring in the pond? It is right by the dunmer with the ring of shadows. Is there a ring in there? I searched at least good 20 minutes to find it but i didnt see it. Malchik
Risca, you should use the search button as this question has come up several times. Yes there is a ring. It is to the left just as you enter the pond next to a plant stem. The ring is black, so hard to see and is best viewed in sunlight. Also, unless you want this quest to be permanently open, it needs to be resolved in a particular way. So as not to spoil it I suggest you save, find the ring and then if the quest doesn't close read my note in spoilers on quests that won't close and do it again. The title is A Lady in Distress. The reward for the quest is very very good! (Faust's response deleted at his request.)
Faust870
I have a quick question thats semi OT: If you have a quest that will not close... do you need the console to fix it? because i play on Xbox... and i wanted to do this quest.. but i think i killed the woman! Malchik
Semi OT? Read my pinned thread in spoilers it gives details of all the nasty little quests that won't go away and how to deal with them. Even if you do find the ring there is a good chance you'll not do the right thing to get the journal entry. This particular quest is a pain for that. Sadly you have to read the thread before you get to the quests - otherwise it's too late. You will have an open quest in your journal here, my friend.
