Hanthilius
So, I just started modding skyrim, and its mostly been small things, like new rooms added to certain buildings, new armors or weapons, stuff like that. But it seems that mostly all of the "big" mods i install are causing my game to crash after the bethesda loading screen and i just get sent to my desktop. I've turned mods on and off, and found the mods causing this are: Warzones - Civil Unrest (skirmishes take place around skyrim in key to the civil war), LIAT (adds a better atmosphere to all taverns), Skyrim School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (Hogwarts in skyrim), and Aethernautics (big dwemer space ship) I don't know what could be the problem? they don't say they require any other mods, Do i need to update my game or something? netson
you have to post all mods wen a mod is in conflict with Aethernautics for example there must be another mod that makes the conflict(since aethernautics works with skyrim 1.6.0.69 and dawnguard patches) so you may triger aethernautics and try to find the other mod wich is conflicting and see if you can spare it instead of aethernautics also load order of all mods is required it matters a lot i got over 50 mods currently working and i get no crashes (sometimes i got to start the game again because since theres a lot of mods the start of the game might be glitched) but taken that i got no problem and if it happens as i said i just need to restart game
PhaseVerocity
I found the game has memory issues too. If I load up too many graphical mods or scripts etc it crashes and always seems to be around 2.2-2.6 gig for some reason. If you are running any High resolution mods try taking them off and see if that helps also any mods that change things like better signs. Lastly i'd take out all of the scripts in the scripts folder and see if installing the mod works then. If it does then you've got a dirty script installed from some mod. Might be that its using the same variable name as another mod. Common problem in programming unfortunately and it happens all too often when the programmers. ie. script makers aren't in comunication with each other. If it is a script i'd start by uninstalling all of my mods then removing it and install them one at a time till you get a crash. Another way is to add in half the scripts and leave the other half out if the script that is causing problems is in the half you left in then you can half it again.. etc. time consuming but worth it if you have a lot of mods installed. Things that i've found crash the gamebad meshesbad texturesscriptsmemory.
