Custom NPC + Hair

First thing's first, I'd just like to commend everyone on how incredible the work is that people put into creating mods for these amazing games.

Now for the topic at hand, probably a stupid oversight of my own...

I've been modding the hell out of New Vegas for some time now and created my own characters and even a command centre without any hassles, just loads of fun. In NV, I installed a hair pack that functions fine with my custom characters.

After watching a friend of mine play Fallout 3 again, it's convinced me to return to DC and see what new and exciting mods are out there... So I've started with all the majors like weapon overhauls and graphic enhancements, and yes, hair packs.

Now this is what has been driving me insane for the last 5 hours; I've created a custom female NPC to stick in the wasteland, I put her in Megaton just for the fun of it. After so many failed attempts at getting this character to show in game, I decided to do a clean install of my game only with the HairDay mod. My plugin is only dependent on the fallout3.esm and the hairday.esm and everything shows up fine and dandy in the geck. Though it seems that my custom character doesn't like showing up in game when any mod besides the fallout3 master is attached. Working off a clean plugin with default hairstyles seems to allow my character to appear no problem, but once the hair pack is attached the NPC doesn't even appear at all.

Just appreciate any help or comments on what I might be overlooking... Thanks for your time. :)

Edit: Sorry but this is driving me insane now, I've tried everything I can from altering follower scripts to making minor appearance changes to other companion mods. Every single time I just change the face and nothing else, the character doesn't even appear in game at all. I don't understand, with New Vegas all I did was drag and drop characters with simple AI packages and they always at least showed in game.

I can look at that for you. If you are still around. Modding the hell out of FNV huh. That's the spirit. It takes a very long time to learn each type of data an how it relates in the last genereation gamebyro. It's longer than a few years, but I mean look at TES III an IV they've been doing it forever. We could try some things, but given the nature of the problem a inspection might help. You could also just delete it an try again, that's how you get good, by making the same thing over an over. It sounded like you have no idea what you are doing, else you wouldn't be here. Let me know an we can be modding buddies an go fishing for raider heads in the river sometime. ou ou I caught a fresh one.
