Freybli
My apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong area, but I have a bit of a dilemma with the Creation Kit and a new dragon actor that I've made. Long story short, I wrote a bit of test dialogue and successfully implemented onto the character, but I cannot actually interact with them (as in, I can't hit E to start talking with them). Is there some sort of script that I can add that would allow me to begin talking to this new dragon? Any help would be much appreciated, thank you. RichWebster
IIRC it has to do with the actor's Race. There's a tickbox to allow dialogue that has to be set. Without that you can't activate the actor.
JobVanDam
I don't know about the Actor Dialog checkbox but I add the defaultAllowPCDialogueScript to their Reference (where you place them) and it works fine. It's a vanilla script so it's in your game already. I've added that script to friendly animals in my game just so I can see what animal they are and it works just fine. RichWebster
That script function overrides the race flag for dialogue, never knew about that. Cool. https://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=AllowPCDialogue_-_Actor

I tried adding that to the NPC earlier, but it doesn't give the option to interact with them when I'm nearby (still missing the "press E" option). When you say you added that script to their reference, are you talking about right there in their actor menu, or somewhere else?
