Nowena
The Cyrodiil Upgrade Team proudly announces the release of the Cyrodiil Upgrade Overhaul V4 The Cyrodiil Upgrade Team has been formed from a group of talented modders, voice actors, writers, experienced mod testers and other mod users who just enjoy a good, lore-based, immersive game of Oblivion. We have joined together in order to release and provide support for some of your favorite mods and some new ones that we hope will become your favorites. After long testing, we are ready to announce the release of version 4 of the Cyrodiil Upgrade Overhaul to you. In our tests, we found it wonderfully compatible with all mods we tested it with. And, yes, that includes some very popular, major overhauls. Those of you who install this overhaul should find a more realistic, challenging game facing you, with randomized opponents and creatures appearing in the factions and groups where they were meant to be. Loot is based on the type of opponent guarding it and you will never know until you face them, just how hard that loot will be to gain. Now, you will have to use some of those skills you thought you could avoid before! There are Heroes you will be happy to meet on your travels, and there are Evil Heroes you may curse you ever found! They will both be strong, difficult opponents should you decide to fight them. And, they will have the really good stuff, because they were strong enough to get it. Are you strong enough to take it away from them? Necromancers now look and fight like Necromancers, and Conjurors will be easily identified and show you the real stuff Conjurors can do. These are true factions now, not some random assortment of NPC's with similar robes. If you go up against them, be prepared to fight them as you would true Necromancers and Conjurors. (and watch out for the Daedra!) All is random. At any level, you might run into an opponent or creature that you can easily handle. Two steps later, you may need to run or die. The wilderness is truly no longer safe - neither are the roads or ruins. All we guarantee is that they will be realistic from here on. Wolves run in packs. Just like in real life. Bears do not. But, they are nasty. And, there are all kinds of hidden dangers in the tall grass that you'd better watch out for. They, too, can be deadly. Included in version 4 is over 500 lines of new, voice acted dialog to factions that previously had no unique lines of their own. This will add to the immersion and to the enjoyment of the game. Now, bandits talk about stuff bandits talk about, marauders talk about marauder stuff, necromancers have necromancer lines, conjurers have conjurer lines and so on. As you explore their homes you will see the new CUO features building up before your eyes, with new staffs, new robes, new loot, new combat styles and just as you believe we cannot make the factions feel any more real than we have, you will hear the new dialog click in. In short, this overhaul is not about endless fighting with opponents you expect to find in any level, nor is it just about finding that cool, uber sword or armor. While the overhaul makes good use of the Cyrodiil Resource Pack to add the new armors, poitions, and other great resources, it uses them safely and where you would expect to find them. And, it is truly compatible and modular. Want to run OOO with this? Go ahead. While a few things may be overwritten by whichever overhaul you load last, you will still see enough elements of both to enjoy the combination. If you like immersion and lore, we suggest putting CUO last so you will see all of this mod's additions. Like Fran's? It will also play well with CUO. We tested them both, and FCOM to be sure and we now have the experience of seeing them work well together - even without bashing. That's got to be the final, true test. And, this overhaul is modular. You REALLY want all of OOO's bad guys and Fran's unleveled guards? Simple. Don't check those esp's in CUO. You will see all of the one you want. Same goes for the other choices. No bash needed. Check out the download description and the mod readmes to learn much, much more about this truly great overhaul and see the credits of all the people who provided the resources to make this happen. Note: The Cyrodiil Upgrade Overhaul does require use of the Cyrodiil Upgrade Resource Pack 1.4.6, and Shivering Isles. See other requirements on the download site. Additional note: Due to the wonderful support we have received here at TesNexus and the delightful reception we have already received for CUO, we will shortly be announcing the release of a new version of The Origin of the Mages Guild, using the latest Cyrodiil Upgrade Resource Pack and adding lots of new voice acted dialogs. download: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20288 support website: http://www.novazone.karoo.net/ The Cyrodiil Overhaul Team
Nowena
As I said above, we have been testing this for some time. In addition, we originally opened it quietly here on Nexus in orderto get more feedback before we made a general announcement. Well, the initial response has been even better than we could havehoped for - we have even been voted into the top 5 Files of the Month. Not bad for a quiet opening! In any case, we now want to announce this overhaul to everyone andhope that many of you - especially those of you interested in immersionand lore - will try it out. We feel certain you will enjoy it as much as we have. Enjoy! NowenaCyrodiil Upgrade Team

If CUO doesn't make file of the month I'll eat my hat :) Amazing work from the whole team, and I must say how excited I am to hear about the new OMG too - OMG has always been one of my favourite mods, and I look forward to seeing it continue to improve. giskarduk
Hello all. Since our new team leader has announced the team, I'll explain the importance of these changes to everybody. Many here will agree this is a good idea when they hear it. First a little background. 1 person cannot deal with 1000s of questions, complaints and flames without going nutz, sad but true and it drove me mental over these past 2 years. Right now some of our younger team members are already cracking under the strain and may not have the willpower to continue, but others are handling it great. I am especially proud of the way Nowena, Lalwenda and Purple Gandalf have handled things so far but Don (Dzorro) has so far been the most accurate in his replies but he is good at that but could learn from the other 3 who handle the bad stuff better then me and him do. Because mods generate questions and become quest mods quadruple the number of questions, I want to ease the team in to these new role. They would all quit if i just uploaded my mods now and let them work it out, its too much, even for the team. You players will still need to help your selves by reading the docs if this is to work. The Engineering Guild. Depending on which rumours you believe, the Engineering Guild was ever a covern of witches selling mods and eating babies or a group of helpful individuals I came to rely on. The guild wanted to take over some of the things I did and offered to do so if i put my mods back online. So they became the Cyrodiil Upgrade Team (or CUT as they call them selves) and the reappearance of my work is thanks to them taking off the biggest pain in ass job i had to face and doing a better job of it too. Team Work. Inside the team, we debate stuff, argue and bash out ideas, sometimes for months (4 months for CUO) before work starts. Its actually very enjoyable and this process will once again go public so you can enjoy it. Or you can pass on ideas to CUT members and they will post them for you. Your choice. The Cyrodiil Upgrade 99% of my coolest ideas where posted by users. I did my voodoo on them and produced what you see. The old Engineering Guild heavily influenced production and helped with it as volenteers and now help as full team members. So these are their mods too now. So whilst many ideas may get ignored, many are noted down and remembered. Right now the best 2 people for ideas on my forum is school kid CNC and a guy called Arial which i believe is also at school. Those 2 post some well thought out ideas and you have seen and used some of them already. So age and experience has nothing to do with a good idea. Anybody can post a good idea, it might be the 1 in 100 ideas you posted that was good but anybody can do so. The one thing to remember is this. We are trying to keep as close to the game lore as possible, so whilst we may allow you to put purple undies on everybody in kvatch, we will not do it our selves. Not unless they are lore based undies and the situation calls for it :) So if your ideas fit with the game lore at any level, they are more likely to be accepted. Us and You. The team is not going to operate too much in private, we want you all to be involved as much as you care to be involved. We ask you stay polite and respectful and consider others if you use our forum. Remember some of us suffered for years so you could enjoy our mods, so thinking of your self in that respect is not well recieved at all. Respect for everything will earn you respect from everybody. PMs and the team The team are now out supporting my work and can be pm'd as needed here on nexus. Also you can post your questions here on nexus safely and know the moderators will not allow the sort of flame baiting that goes on, on beths forums. That is why we use Nexus and not beths forums. The moderators here have moderated me in the past and supported me too in equal measure, they have done so fairly and we trust them. We ask all you lurkers trust us when we say you can post here, these are well run forums. Do not be afraid. I will be active my self on nexus but the team will be handling the support. I will jump in if i need to, in order to correct mistakes but in all other respects Nowena is in charge. There is no point asking me about support related items, I no longer handle that, im just a passer by you might say. To other mod makers. The resource pack is contains resources I and other mod makers created for your use. I created the resource pack so you can easily access some extremely cool items without knowing how to add those resources to your own work. If you are wondering what is in the pack, take a look at the credits list or just start using some of my mods, you will see some cool items you might want to use. The resource pack contains everything from boats, to rabbits, to weapons, to sets of staffs, to entire tile sets. All community created and all available to you to use. I already got all the permissions you need when creating it. To credit those who made the resources you need just add the credits from the link below to your docs or link to that page directly (probably best). Here are the creditshttp://www.novazone.karoo.net/cuoCyrodiilU...PackCredits.htm I want mod makers to consider me the maintainer of the resource pack but not the owner. Its full of community work, so it belongs to the community not me. I just created it and added some stuff to it of my own. Giskard
