Just some weapons I'd like to see added to the wasteland ;

Colt Walker from 'Josey Wales'

LAR Grizzly .50

One of Burts from a 'Tremors' sequel, 2 I think

Colt 1st Dragoon .44

True Grit (2010)

DefTech Federal Labs 37

Another Tremors Sequel

Also Kevin Costner's twin nickel plated Colt Single Army Action with 'Mexican' holster rig ( finger spin anim anyone!!) from 'Silverado'

Clint Eastwood's Remington 1858 New Army from 'Pale Rider' (slow preloaded cylinder reload.)

Burt's 8ga double barrel shotgun from 'Tremors' (Elephant Gun?)

John Wayne's Winchester 1892 "Saddle Ring Carbine" from True Grit (1969) with appropriate one-hand reload anim (I'd have your babies if you got that right) I have pics for these last two but they wouldn't attach.

Thanks..

I might be able to swing a Colt Walker. My skills in blender are laughable, but I have an idea that might work. I wouldn't dream of doing a 1 minute cap and ball reloading sequence though, or the lever. But if you assume it's been modified to fire cartridges, it becomes a reasonably useful firearm . Did a Colt Peacemaker that turned out well. Let me know if you want me to take a shot at a modified version.

Thanks for the replies.

@Dev

After a bit more reading there is a Colt 1860ish cartridge conversion also seen in 'Josey Wales' and also features in 'Last Stand at Sabre River' with Tom Selleck among others.

If I can be picky, the Walker/Dragoon has a slightly longer cylinder and the Dragoon design with the gap between the cylinder and the barrel, and that rod/pivot detail under the barrel is my favourite. Ooh.. hexagonal barrel as well, i believe that fits.

@anyone

Had to put this in

Rooster... that reload, for any animators who like a challenge.

That rifle.

I rarely do original meshes, just edits of existing ones. See if a more experienced modder will help out and if you don't have any luck in a few days hit me with PM and I'll see what I can do.

Looks like your requests in this regard may have been answered, check out Millenia's Colt 1849 Pocket mod. If Millenia lets me use them it will be trivial to make a walker and dragoon (both converted to cartridge), but no lever action.

Thanks for keeping in touch.

I thought it it looked familiar... Clint has one in 'JW' but it only looks a tiny version and as I haven't dl'd Millenia's yet, I wasn't sure of the size. On closer look it's damn near a replica.. so if you're up for it, in your own time Dev.(unless Millenia already has one planned,I don't know what the etiquette is between modders with similar projects.)
