Blackguard666 Posted October 20, 2008 Share Posted October 20, 2008 It's fairly newish, and I picked it up at Bestbuy a few days ago....and love it. It's like a combo of Oblivion, NWN 2, and Gothic 3. AND......for once it has a path and ending/storyline for EVIL TOONS!!! Yes! It does not force you to be the good guy, or 'hero'. You can save the lands or destroy them, and has endless gameplay and free online play. For $20 you can't beat it. And the engine and graphics are great. Not too many mods for it yet, being new, but there will be. Fileplanet and Filefront have sites on it already. You can buy cool gear from the merchants, and some items can't be bought, they can only be found of bandits or guards. Lots of armor and weapon diversity. Only thing I give a thumbs down about so far, is only being a human male in SP mode start. I THINK you get to unlock other races/classes once you finish the main quest. In MP, you can be whatever. Yah, check it out, or get the demo. I got the epic version, which gives tons new MP and SP quests. You can wear anything from robes to plate, and each armor and weapon comes in different classes....1-10(?), and you can enchant them yourself once you lvl up your alchemical skills. Right now, I have a ranger with duel weilding the Serpant Swords, and a nice bow. He's got decent chainmail armor. My second char. is an evil one....in all dark plate, cool helm, and high resiliance to critical hits. Good save throws, too. I have a really good but not uber falchion, which is highly enchanted with fire damage. I'll have to find the screenies and post them sometime. jaysus Posted October 20, 2008 Share Posted October 20, 2008 yup agreed its a nice game.. tried it when it came out and was fascinated... was kinda buggy back then tho... and it obviously has some flaws like letting you merge 2 weapons indefinately until you have the uber weaponbtw gothic 3 sucks... gothic 1 and 2 are those you should refer to ;) (these 2 were the best action adventure rpgs ever and even took me away from morrowind) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's all good and well, but the main story was spawned from a cow's rear end. And let's not forget half-naked bandits attacking you, just a problematic feature of their random gear - they can spawn bare-chested or with no pants, and sometimes both. The lack of available mods is not because it hasn't been out long, it's because most modders have openly expressed that they wouldn't touch this game with a ten-foot pole. But you can change your hair color. Didn't this game get rated with a big fat "MEDIOCORE"?I don't remember any of the reviews being that generous. Aeryn333 Posted October 25, 2008 Share Posted October 25, 2008 There were allot of good points in Two Worlds, like the duel weapons, and fighting from a horse..the static meshes sucked, here and there, as wolves and bandits walked through cave walls.But all in all, for a semi linear game..Their were many side quests, and land to roam about..I kinda like that cauldron alchemical, part and the ability to add elemental damage to weapons yourself..Then there were the not so great parts..But I thought for a one time play through, not bad, and of course Silvermane made it a two time,play thru at least if not 3, for he created quite a challenging game with his Elite mod..made it more worth it.. With Silvermanes elite female mod, you can also play as a female now, and the elite version made the game much tougher. its about he only real, mod for the game, and a Mages tower and Mages house..homes to live in.. ..Its a not really modder friendly that was the problem..But Silvermane at least did make the game more enjoyable with his difficult elite mod..We'll see what Two Worlds: The Temptation brings, it sounds as I check into the main TW site..That it has promise ..it comes out sometime soon,we'll see... The frame rate is too low, the story sucks, and the reason there are no mods is because everyone thinks it sucks. The CEO of the company that made it was like, "Two Worlds has taken the world by storm!". That was because of the fact that they had delayed it for about a year, and everyone was wondering what the hell the game was about, so the copies sold well because everyone was so interested.
