woodtortiose Posted August 7, 2019 Share Posted August 7, 2019 Hi there, I'm a newb at modding this game, other than editing some dialogue files, but there are a few things I'd very much like to see in game. Dont know if any of it is possible, but here goes. 1. Compost. Could a new farm structure, the compost bin, be added to the buildings Robin can build for you? Can each animal produce a new daily product, manure? Maybe with a new tool, a shovel or pitchfork to collect it? Can each plant and plant again crop ( not recurring crops like tomatos and peppers) produce a unit of 'plant waste' or organic matter when you harvest it? And all the plant residue you have to clear on the first day of a new season, could that be harvested? All this manure and plant residues could be added to the compost bin during spring summer and fall, and compost (fertilizer) collected the next spring. You could even have two kinds - compost, if you add only plant or animal waste, or quality compost if you add both. I never liked the idea of annually buying loads of new fertilizer, as one of the goals of self-sufficient small organic farming is to eliminate these inputs and make the farm self fertile. 2. Solar panels. A new craftable, solar panels, either complimenting or replacing lightning rods, that produce batteries on sunny days. It'd be really cool if your house/farm had an electric meter, like the health and stamina meters, that drained steadily and required batteries to fill it. You wouldnt have this meter until you upgraded and got a kitchen, and each new upgrade would cause it to drain faster. Maybe it could be tied to the number of lamps you've placed in the house, each new lamp causing it to drain a little faster! Anyway, just some thoughts, thanks for reading!
