If a manual search can not locate your missing file, try using Windows Explorer's search function. Depending on what software you are using, you might try saving the file again and looking at the directory path to see where it is saving the file to.

Could you expound on what "the whole NifSkope thing" is? NifSkope does not create .esp files, nor does it edit them. Are you sure you have an .esp file?

Sorry,by the "nifscope" thing i mean i turned my obj into a nif file and added the properties of another nif file onto it. Also i know im dealing with an esp because i saved it in the creation kit and it registers it in the plugin list in the creation kit as well. I can load it up fine in the kit as well. But it doesn't show up in the data folder where creation kit says i saved it to, I've tried a search though windows but it's like it doesn't exists.

Have you reinstalled Skyrim to a new directory but not reinstalled the CK since then? That action could result in a situation sort of like your describe.

I am thinking that if you did a more extensive search, you would find your lost .esp. You can just type in the name of the file and let the computer do the searching.

Perhaps the CK is installed in an odd location and is saving the files to the wrong place. Perhaps you have Skyrim installed or partially installed twice on your machine.
