Of course, we're going to have some here who will find some way to defend this, probably by finding something to attack Obama for (again).

This female dog has some nerve. She stands in front of the world talking about cutting this sort of crap out of Washington and she is guilty of it herself (again)!!

Sheesh.

It's just as bad as console wars,on youtube the other day, this guy reversed one of Obama's songs and claimed it had some weird sayings in it(it's the popular "devil's messages when played backwards" thing),and yes it was a vid,and he actually believed something was up to it,i messaged him about it,then he became defendent and started cursing me out, claimed i was brainwashed, claimed i was cursing at him when in fact i was not,and an xbox fanboy ;D .it's a long story,i'd rather not explain it too much, but as a matter of fact, his vid is a reply vid to one that had played the same song, and both have different translations. .Lol,dang though,i thought debaters on presidential elections were mature.Even someone told me that way back, nope.Wish you guyes the best of luck

later amended expense reports to specify that they were on official business.

That's bad.

I'm not going to play the usual devil's advocate here, for a couple of reasons. Please remember though, that shenanigans aren't inherently "republican".

There's the traditional Democractic machine in chicago . . .

Remember how Pelosi tried to get Murtha as majority leader? (Various corruption issues there)

Heck, Tim Mahoney (Democract who took Mark Foley's seat) is just now coming under investigation for corruption involving his mistress.

This runs on both sides of the isle. You can't say any one political party is immune.

You speak truly. I interpreted the title and your words to that implication, and while as stated before I did not desire to debate this issue, I wished to prevent a republican bashing thread (I would have done the same with a democrat one).

To correct my error, and balance my post previously, let me add to the republican side corruption issues:

Ted Stevens

Halliburton issues in Iraq

The CIA outing over the 2004 election.

And a couple of good "honest" politician stories:

Obama and Biden refusing PAC money

McCain supporters chasing away the people who were claiming Obama was a muslim.

Good point all though I was trying to keep this to the current election. This story was just particularly galling since this is now her second investigation already and she has been so vocal about cleaning up this short of "abuse of power" in her campaigning.

As for bashing Republicans, I shan't bother to do that as I think they've done enough of that themselves. ;)

Cheers.

Just want to throw in, if I may. Sorry if I'm putting more salt on the wound, but McCain is just a gusher of irony.

Palin and McCain practically basked in this impression they were "The Mavericks" - the Maverick family begs to differ. If you haven't seen this clip:

Anyway, when it descends down to finger-pointing and radical assumptions while attacks are debunked on a constant basis, it's time to reassess some moral standards. It is just amazing how politics can change a person which showed when McCain made his noble wrap-up speech. As for Obama, I'm glad to see him in the transition process but I have questions about his staff and even if he attempts to stay true to his word I believe Obama knows of obstacles during his presidency that will alter his agenda greatly and permanently. That congratulatory letter he received bothers me.
