Competent web designers out there

Do to certain restrictions on Strangeways’ time and mine, neither of us are able to work on my personal website (and thus the one for the mod we would like to create for Morrowind). So I am offering any competent web designer up to 5GB (may be negotiable) of space on my personal server (located in my own basement, not some server farm in the middle of nowhere) to do as they wish with within reasonable limitations (no pornography hosting, nothing to do with software or music or movie piracy, nothing generally illegal).

If you feel that you would be interested, please PM-me and we can get the ball rolling. It would also be preferable if you would be able to show me an example of your work (via a link) as well. I do not necessarily want anything terribly fancy, just done tastefully.

Moderators: If you feel this is an inappropriate use of this site (I could find nothing of relevance in the TOS), please feel free to delete or lock this thread.

Now, I know how to make webpages rather well... I've never really done any serious ones... I've done a simple one for a business as an assignment... Sadly I cannot find the link for it anymore (since it was hosted on a free host)... I know .PHP coding...and HTML... I have the whole macromedia package i believe... plus database skills...

That is a website I threw together for my Tribes 2 Tribe...

Its simple, have to fix a few bugs... but thats about it..

Thank you for the replies so far... I have some further information that I think is necessary for you to make a decision:

1) You should have some idea of how to run IIS for Windows 2000; I am using Windows 2000 Advance Server and the website and FTP site are run from IIS.

(If you do not know all the ins and outs, I can show you what is necessary)

2) I have to have a way to contact you in case of an emergency (not over the phone, or running to your house... don't worry about that), but an email address or IM program you use on a regular (daily) basis.

3) You will have to install some required software to access some of the more advanced features.

4) If you live in a country to which the US currently forbids the export of information technology (either software or hardware) I am afraid you will be automatically disqualified. It is not a matter of trust, only that it would be too easy to trace back to me.

5) I would highly recommend that you use some sort of good virus protection. The server (as it is right now) has no built in virus protection (for a variety of reasons). I do perform a weekly scan over the network of the most susceptible parts, but prevention is the best cure.

6) Above all else, you have to be trustworthy. I am effectively giving you the keys to my "empire", and you have to treat them with respect. This server has network access to all of my personal computers and there are shared folders and files and printers and what not. As a matter of convenience, I do not use passwords for internal security, and these folders can be accessed though the server (when you are running the appropriate software).
