Must have mods?

Well, i've recently reinstalled Oblivion and decided to see if i'll like it with some mods.

Problem was when i played it upon release, i didn't like it compared to Morrowind, maybe because with Morrowind i had access to a fair amount of mods(and expansions) at the time which made the game play more fun.

The problem is, there are so many mods to go through on this site and it'd be easier if anyone could suggest some 'Must have' mods. Well, i know you can play without the mods, but you get my drift, suggest me some good mods! :D

Also after watching some Youtube vids, i've noticed alot of peoples characters look nothing like mine! Is there some mod that changes the models/animations? Perhaps a mod that make them look nicer etc.

Anyway, thanks in advance.

Oh and, i did a search but found no luck, perhaps i'll try different keywords.

oh no, not again a "must have" mod threat... Oh well, here we go:

I will only pick some mods I'm using. You have to search them(this computer doesn't allow the necessary scripts for links on the Forums)

-Open Better Cities(really great mod. Be sure to only use it if your Computer is at least average! Also, you need Bananasplit's Better Cities as resource!)

-Exnem's Body replacer & HG Eycandy(these 2 will change the bodies of all women ingame, you can also install a non-nude version)

-Streamline(my favourite mod not made by me^^. Use this if you get a bad framerate. Be sure to read the readme and install it right though!)

-Natural Weather, Natural Environment & Screen Effects(This will change the Weather and Nature to be more realistic)

-Armamentarium(Use this if you want a huuuuggggggeeeeee additional selection on realistic but beautiful custom weapons).

Now, the next are overhauls. Only install them if you really want their entire effect:

-Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul(This will change Tamriel to be more dangerous and challanging)

-Martigen's Monster Mod(This will change monsters and NPCs to act more realistic. It will also add several other gimmicks)

The last section for now is really optional, you have to check if you really want to use them:

-Jump Animation Replacer(made by Amserdam2019, will change the jump animation to be more prettier, no more diaper jump!!)

-Darker nights and dungeons(imo, they are way to bright..)

-XUI Landscapes(will give Tamriel more variety)

-Darnified UI(not sure bout the name, but if will change your UI)

-Gold Weight(It's more realistic, gold will also add weight)

-Reduced Backwards Running(you can basically cheat on all enemies by just running backwards so the enemies cannot attack you properly. This will prevent it)

-Midas Magic(This will add fantastic magic spells and a quest to get them)

-Blood & Mud(This will add a great quest and change Bravil to a really dirty place)

Ok, that's all what I can think of atm.

Here's a couple of review pages:

Oh, and if you want some ready-made good-looking player characters, search the Nexus for save game files. You can either just start with them, or you can use Wrye Bash to copy their face to your character.

Ah, and you might also like http://www.stephanewuttunee.net/tnr_home.html to improve the appearance of NPCs.
