Michlo Posted October 23, 2008 Share Posted October 23, 2008 I gave Oblivion a break to play Spore for a while. That didn't keep me occupied as long as I'd hoped. So, I bought "The Witcher" since Dark One had mentioned it and it looked interesting. I'm enjoying that. Tomorrow "Dead Space" arrives and next month a mini-expansion to "Sins of a Solar Empire" which I thoroughly enjoy. After those I shall probably wake Lord Michlo up again. :) Cheers. And I hear the developers will work on a third instalment so at least I'm ready. System Shock 2 is the game of the moment for me. What can I say? Love the classics. Hmm, I vaguely recall playing System Shock 1 and enjoying it. I hadn't looked at the sequel so I may have to do that, thanks. :) I'll also take a look at the Deus Ex games. Cheers. I actually didn't play the first System Shock, I'm embarrassed to admit, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere. Bioshock put me on to the series so I'm surprised and delighted to see the previous incarnation so full of depth and customisation in many ways superior to the later game! I remember reading that the first one was "...more a work of art and should not be looked upon as just a video game..." I fully agree with the article. RTS's seem to get most of my time these days: Company of Heroes - Opposing Fronts, Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance, Command & Conquer 3 - Kane's Wrath. I still pop into Warhammer 40k, Dawn of War now and then and as I said, Sins of a Solar Empire.
