I would like to create a mod that toggles pacifist mode on and off with a keypress. Does that seem feasible?

There are mods such as the chat mod that perform functions via a single user defined keypress. There are also mods that change game settings on the fly. Seems like something that is doable. Problem is, I have no Fallout 76 modding experience and it's extremely difficult to find any resources.

 

I take it Fallout 76 modding is very similar to Fallout 4?

 

As for why I think the mod would be useful, I think 99 percent of the time you want to be in pacifist mode while playing in Adventure mode. But when you own a workshop in Adventure mode, you can be attacked at any moment if you are present in the workshop bounds. You must then turn pacifist mode OFF in order to any damage to other players. Hitting ESC, bringing up the main game menu, going to settings and then game settings, and then finally toggling the pacifist setting ON or OFF takes longer than I would like it to take, especially if someone is shooting at me or if I am preparing to fast travel in to defend the workshop.
